Matt Rife: Natural Selection (2023)
Wow, this guy nailed it!
First off, I rarely review comedy sets. They have to be saying something important, relative to current events or someone new, amazing, etc.
This was one of those. Well done / gold clap
I've been so tired of social media, news, our government being controlled by idiots and consequently we are being misdirected..we all know this...and your posting here..even now..is basically worthless and so many people just love to pass along hate.
It's taken me decades watching the way things have changed, not being able to fix them...questioning; people just not wanting to ask the hard questions.. or any!! I've coming to the conclusion that only idiots are breeding in hoards now..Do the math.
Anyways..he nailed it. If you can't handle the truth...heh we are over worked, underpaid. The world is burning up and we all have a seat in front of the tv...
Consumerism is out of control. I hate how we have has serious issues come up in the past decade and this overwhelming amount of people trolling for whatever reason is crazy and out of control.
I've seen women on the internet harass people then scream foul play when they get called out.
I assumed that USA reviews would be overwhelmingly positive for all the truths he spoke. Heh, didn't find it so here I am posting.
It's a great set, relevant, and i truly hope these bad reviews are taken for what they are. People unable to look at themselves and laugh. If you can't laugh at yourself, how the heck can you enjoy any comedy sets.
Peace out.
Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga (2023)
Can't stop laughing, watch this...it's worth a few watches even!
What I like about him most is his upbringing was hard and he just found the humor in it all; that takes amazing strength. The fact that this is his first special..just amazing to pull it off this well.
The gun humor had me laughing so hard and hearing his take on the shooting range....omfg...hilarious..
His ability to just make bad situations silly, crazy funny even is really up there. I'm impressed! Can't wait to see more of him. Great humor, this is the most enjoyable new comedian I've heard/seen in a while. Well done.
I'm looking forward to seeing his future works.
/ golf clap... ( highest rating! )
Dina Hashem: Dark Little Whispers (2023)
Brilliantly said about everything uncomfortable and wrong with racism !
I try to catch every new comedy show, especially the females being one myself. You can truly relate to her; it was dark for me but also hopeful... anyone who can speak truths so brilliantly for anyone to understand should be heard.
This was elequently said and she really gets to the meat of ignorance and racism. If only her words could be heard through the world so everyone could hear and understand them...a chance to change the world for the better.. all of us working together as one.
Her explanation and experiences give me hope for the little ripples being heard throughout the galaxy, everything is connected.
Natalie Palamides: Nate - A One Man Show (2020)
Love it, make my brain hurt though...
I love being challenged, especially pondering on societies take on current events. This was brilliant and made my brain spin! I watched it 3 times, wishing more then anything I could talk about this with someone! It really wakes you up if you're not already. (:
