Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Super boring
The first version was not great. This version was sooo full of filler we couldn't get past the first two hours. I don't understand these 10/10 reviews unless they were paid for, are from people who pushed for the Snyder cut and felt vindicated, or simply have no taste. Felt similar with Endgame which was bloated garbage. May force myself to watch the second half, but that'll depend on how little I value my time.
WandaVision: Don't Touch That Dial (2021)
Another Dreadful Episode
There's something fundamentally wrong with the people who are giving this high marks. It's not entertaining at all. The dialogue, the storytelling.... everything is bad. Correction, they get the black and white contrast right.
The laugh tracking is so bad that it actually is bothersome. Laugh tracks usually add something to the comedic narrative in tv shows, but not here. I know it's supposed to be a caricature, but at least do it well. C'mon!
What's sad about this is that I have a feeling that these episodes are teasing towards something interesting, but the journey is just painful to watch.
I watch a ton of tv/movies and this is the worst television I've seen in years. What's clear to me is that Marvel figured out that they can create something that costs almost nothing to produce and get a large return on their investment and a large number of mindless drones will consume it. Either that or tons of reviewers are just bots or paid for by Disney. Shame on you Marvel for making this garbage!
WandaVision: Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience (2021)
Phenomenally boring
I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the majority of the films have been incredibly well done. What astonishes me is the number of people who like the garbage that Marvel has put out starting with Endgame and now Wandavision. Captain Marvel wasn't great either. After watching the trailers for WV, I was not particularly excited about what was coming and the first episode was worse than I expected. I know that it's setting up something bigger, but as a standalone episode, it wasn't remotely entertaining nor engaging. I actually thought it sucked.
My review is purely about the episode, not superficial stuff like special effects, etc.
So far, WV is a complete waste of time. That being said, I will watch the second episode because I am a Marvel fan and it deserves another chance. Just be aware that the very high overall rating and the high individual ratings are from people who will consume just about anything and be happy. They probably thought the Last Jedi was a cinematic masterpiece too. I kid... not really.
The Mandalorian (2019)
First episode was refreshing... then mehh
So, I really enjoyed the first episode and found this a refreshing addition to the Star Wars family. Since then though, not much great happening. I've been super disappointed with the first two sequel trilogy movies and am not a fan of Kennedy's management of Star Wars, or at least the handling of the Skywalker saga. A travesty so far. Rogue One and Solo were terrific. Loved the OT, and liked ROTS/Attack of the Clones, but not Phantom Menace. The Mandalorian stories are just too bland. Sure, baby Yoda is really cute and the Mandalorian himself is ok, but Manda is just not a strong enough character, too soft for his britches. He should be cooler, compassionate is ok, but more bad ass, etc. The many references to the original trilogy, Jawas, sandpeople, various robots, etc. is a nice touch (not trying too hard), it's just not enough to make this a great series.
It's amazing how many people immediately dubbed Favreau as the solution to the Kennedy problem. Very premature in my opinion. That being said, like a die hard Star Wars fan, I'm still going to watch every episode and enjoy what I can from the Universe we all love.
Bring Ron Howard back to Star Wars. Let's see what Kevin Feige can do. Let's see some more adventurous writing, but nothing from Rian Johnson. He's a tool.

Alone Together (2018)
LOVE THIS SHOW!
Very refreshing comedy. The dynamic between the two main characters and their friendship group is fantastic. Odd behavior, ridiculous situations, and quirky expressions/interactions make for a very entertaining 1/2 hour of tv. Just wish all the episodes were available NOW instead of having to wait every week. ;) Just spoiled with on demand. I've introduced this show to several other people who love it as well. This is not a tv show for snobs or for those expecting exceptional acting performances. That's not what this is about.
7 Days in Hell (2015)
Worst thing I've ever seen!!
Wow! HBO has put out some fantastic programming over the years. From watching the trailer, this had the potential to be supremely funny. It was honestly the worst thing I've every watched. 4 funny moments adding up to about 2 minutes sewn together over pure garbage. I truly hope the person who wrote this never works again. Anyone who enjoyed watching this is likely to be living in a trailer, on drugs, an alcoholic, not college educated, or likely any combination of the above. The only reason I'm taking the time to post this is to perhaps save you all from getting really angry. ;) While I can't really remember the funny lines that clearly since there were so few, one that was remotely funny was the doing lines of cocaine on the tennis court lines. My 7 year old nephew could write a far more entertaining/funny version of this concept. This is a supremely poor man's Blades of Glory. Supremely poor.
