Deadly Closure (2010)
Save your money...watch someone paint their nails.
One star is very generous for this train wreck. If only I could have accessed the -10 that it deserved. It began with an ill conceived idea, Directed by a new comer to films, acted by seemingly first day acting students, and probably shot on an IPhone (no wait... I seen some very good stuff shot on IPhones). Wow - thank god for fast forward as thats how I watched most of this inane juvenile attempt in a genre that is very forgiving in most categories.
Characters - DOA, vacant and devoid of personality, intellect, charm, and in most cases and believability.
Plot - What Plot??? An idea for a story is not a plot.
Dialogue - On the nose, pathetic, devoid of subtext or any sincerity.
Production - Watch a student film... they are at least trying.
Save your time - watch a local ad by a Mom & Pop outfit,- the pain will be quick.
Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison (2010)
Save your money... Buy a Beatles album
From the first frame, I knew I was in trouble and the first audio of "George Harrison's" voice cinched it. Fake, Fake, Fake, While it does contain many memories (in Photographs) the conclusions are a pathetic attempts to rekindle a lame story of a Hoax. Who researched for this film? Heather Mills = Rita???? Heather Mills wasn't even born when the film makers claim she was sitting in the Austin Healy. The references and innuendos to Pauls death within and on Album covers are very old news and most have been completely rejected by The Beatles and experts.
Where and how did the film makers try to verify the voice of Geoge Harrison? It doesn't sound like him at all, the accent is wrong, his tone is wrong, and the characteristic inflections of a Liverpudlian are missing. "Inconclusive" the film maker said when referring to the audio verification of Harrison's voice. Ha! The film makers chose to use the obviously faked recordings in an attempt to cash in with a generation of Beatles Fans not familiar with this story or the well documented conclusions of thirty years ago. Pathetic!
