i nearly fell asleep watching this. Renne zelwegger was far to cheesy as the pink loving, fluffy clothed author and she was stupidly cast. Ewan Mcgregor was dissapointing but ok and overall this film was far to un original and lacked any decent plot or direction. It was definately not the worst film i have seen but it wasn't the greatest either

First of all some setbacks to the film:

The kid who played Richie was absoloutely dreadful! That performance was probably one of the worst I have ever seen in a film. He looked totally unbelievable in the role and a blind chimp with his hands behind his back could have done a better job! The worst piece of acting in the film for him was when he walked through the door and saw tia carrere and that bad guy. The lines were something like "what is that"( he was probably standing in front of a mirror and saw his own acting). Adrian Paul was also disappointing in the role Lancelot. It was an OK performance but was a bit wooden and he didn't seem to show any good signs of acting( highlander 2 springs to mind). The script to the film was a bit weak and did not show off any of the actors talents as they should have done

Some better performances

Even though I cannot stand Patrick Bergin as a person, in fact i think he is very arrogant, he still did a good job with the film. It wasn't brilliant but it was above average.

Tia Carrere, who I am a big fan of was very well cast in the bitchy role. As nice as Tia is off screen her best roles seem to be playing the baddie( an exeptional performance in true lies). Tia is a very funny actress and the comedy seemed to shine through naturally in this film.

Rik Mayall was also very well cast and was hilarious in the role as merlin

I found this film great AJ really pulls it off. Although some people (mostly boring people with nothing better to do than say how shite something is because the script is not 100 percent accurate)would disagree with me, i think that this film should be shown to teenage kids to show them what drugs can do to you, The layout of the film is very well done and the cuts to Gia's friends and family work really well. The subtleness of the ending is beautiful and was probably one of the most touching films i have ever seen

now lets get one thing straight shall we, Vin deisel is no way near as good as bond but he still tries to do one better than him by ridiculously trying to jump several feet over a barb wire fence and over a building. This film is like so many bad guy, good guy films but never reaches the same level as them( actually it plummits away from them). I rented the DVD and and the and the soundtrack was far too over powering to the film and gave me an ear ache. I that wasn't bad enough VIN looks a complete idiot trying to act seriously and in love scenes, it's a load of crap. AWFUL!!!!!!!!

Girl, Interrupted (1999)

very good

this film was designed to boost winona ryder's film status and was meant to be her film. However it didn't turn out that way and Jolie( who is an incredible actress) ended up getting an oscar. Her performance was outstanding and even though she played a sociopath her cruel jokes were hilarious and you just wanted every scene to have her in. Despite a brilliant performance from angelina jolie and brittany murphy the film was not so clear on how certain things happen to the patients. For example lisa's arm has a wrist band on the elbow and i didn't actually know why that was there. That was until i brought the DVD and realised that the scene explaining that had been deleted.( she had burnt a shape of ruby( the cat) with her cigarette on her arm and the band was to cover it) all in all a very good film (with very catchy songs)

Unquestionably the worst movie of furie's career the film fails to hit the mark. This film boasts a good cast like hopper, weller and carrere. However the weak script and OTT special effects ruin the film and make the actors look bad. The major screw up in this film is the helicopter scene. When the copter starts to go out of control it is pitch black. However when the camera focuses out from inside its about ten o clock in the bloody morning. The bad guys cant seem to escape AND SPEND ABOUT 20 MINS ON ONE STAIR CASE! The main bad guy( dont know his name) is the worst performer in the film a major flop

Wayne's World (1992)

the first time i heard about this film( about 6 years ago) i thought it would be crap, how wrong i was. Mike myers is hilarious( as usual), as the scruffy rock lover wayne and delivers an outstanding performance. Dana carvey is also brilliant but was better in the sequel The only performance that i think wasn't as good was bob lowe. It was OK needed a bit more liveliness than he gave. The best performance was by far in the supporting role of tia carrere. her voice was incredible and she was brilliantly cast in the role as rock chick cassandra an excellent 9/10

How boring can you you get

I watched this film expecting to be amazed. Instead I was bored out of my mind. It started off OK but took about 2 hours to get into the main bulk of the film( by then I was already finding it hard to stay awake)3 and a half hours is far too long and I feel that this was an extremely over rated film. Brilliantly made but a crap film overall

ps I wont be buying the DVD in a hurry
