Zombie Xtreme (2004)
A great zombie short
This is a very good zombie short film, it's a sequel of my movie "Deadhunter: Sevillian Zombies", but obviously, everything is so much better. Of course, we learned a lot of thing from 2003 to 2004, and you can note that on the acting, the cinematography, the screenplay, the directing, the production desing, the make up... One of my favorite zombies is the Clown, it's marvelous, take a look at his face, isn't great? Another great zombie is the zombie topless, that awesome female zombie. But I think the greatest point of the short is the black humor from the beginning to the end, and don't miss the supporting actor Arlekín, he's a TV celebrity in Spain and is a very funny guy. If you like this short, don't miss the sequel, the movie "Killing Twice: a Deadhunter Chronicle".
Deadhunter: Sevillian Zombies (2003)
Great movie with too little money
Well, what can I say when I am myself the director and the producer? Honestly, I know the movie could have been so much better...if we had had the right budget. The problem was that we had a great story but not the minimum required resources, but we insisted in making the movie. On the good side, let's say that it's a great movie since we depicted the zombie invasion of my hometown (Sevilla, in the south of Spain), the best way it was possible with so little money and resources. On the not-so-good side, of course, it helped me realize that sometimes, even if you have a great passion for anything, you must wait a little longer until raising the right funds. I just hope that people see it, taking care of the big effort and great and hard work done behind the cameras. I think the production design was a great job in this movie and the make up as well. The worst part was the sound, I have to admit it, it was my first feature and independent film and I had a lot of things to learn yet. However, the plot is awesome: the zombies are invading a beautiful city and somebody has to take care of the city, that's how the Deadhunter appears on the scene. They are a tactic squad trained to fight, hunt and kill (again) the living dead. As a proof of my words, you can try and take a look to my other Deadhunter movies, and you'll see that we did a bit better every time.
