Young Frankenstein (1974)

Brilliant and Hilarious

Its been a while since I watched a Black and White and this is definitely a big recommendation.

I fell in love with the work of Gene Wilder from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory truly he was America's classic and brilliant comedian.

Watching this film from this date was surprising and made me realized that the humour and dark comedy back then started from his generation and it was a complete delight.

The script was well thought of although flop by the end with acting but super entertaining.

Marty Feldman what a brilliant side kick with his antics and cleverness. Incredibly talented actor.

Probably the most favorite part was Charades it was hilarious.

When Frau Blücher was asking Doctor Frankenstein and the horses neighing when they hear her name was an absolute classic.

Great to see a fantasy film like this again

In the beginning I was skeptical to finish because its slow and kind of predictive. But right by the middle it gets better. The Casting are well thought of. The wit and the characters are brilliant. The costume, design and props are splendid. Special Effects wise its good in details but lack of originality but its really a great and entertaining story to watch along the way.

I hope that there will be a sequel or part 2 as this is underrated film which I wish I have seen in theater.

Overall its great movie. As I've said its great to see medieval fantasy films like this again and I cant wait to see more.

Love S1 + Im not impressed on S2

S1 was still a favorite, they had great set of talented designers. I'll be biased if I compare but waiting for S2 supposed to be better and exciting. Also I lived for the Drama which S2 did not give. The show was made so fast and rushed, I believe there could be some amazing scenes for details that could give great addition for the show. Few Tasks were not challenging enough and there were not much of wow factors. Most pieces were pretty basic I mean come on?

I Felt bad how the best designers got eliminated first leaving the least to stay on. My Least favorite designer 'Amari' she was sooo safe, Im shocked to find out she made it longer than she should. Was it just me or they did some cost cutting? Grand prizes were low in comparison from last season, no sponsorships? Some guest judges were unnecessary for the show? Bella, Emma, Hailey and Ashley? S1 has more iconic and substantial guests, we dont need personalities to judge, we need more people who knows the fashion industry very well. Designers were not pushing hard enough... MET Gala 'Camp' challenge supposed to be a conversation starter. Although I love love Alexa Chung, but Gigi Hadid was really great and a fun host. Love how objective and true were her opinions. In consideration of the time pressure by executing and coming up with design ideas. S2 was indeed incredible.

But it wasnt a season, I or everyone expected to see as a game changer from the pilot. Would there be a Season 3? Hmmm.

Girl in the Basement (2021)

Disturbing

The Cinematography and story made it work for audience to feel the agony, pain, anger, sorrows and hopelessness.

This is the most disturbing film Ive ever seen. My blood was boiling to feel the emotion within on what she was going through. I had no words but anger and questions how could anyone do this. I had so many thoughts after watching the film and I felt very moved.. it has bothered me for days on how the story and the film affected me.. the actors were well-convincing but some scenes were disturbing also some scenes weren't adoptable in real life, but overall the film has truly tap the issue of emotional, verbal and physical abuse.

Blonde (2022)

Not appealing

I'm not particularly a fan of new Marilyn Monroe's film 'Blonde' with 'Ana De Armas' I know its mostly fiction, but I absolutely despise the film. It has few controversial lies about her. Let her rest peacefully, poor woman had already gone through so much.

On the other hand 'Ana De Armas' have really pulled the look, acting, mannerism and the voice but sometimes she gets out of character. I supposed I'm still completely attached of my fav Marilyn impressions from 'Michelle Williams'.

Some scenes were unnecessary, they try to portray that its real and in artistic way but it was off putting.

I do love the scenes were they reenacted and combines from the actual Marilyn Monroe iconic scene, Ana indeed pulled it off!

Doll House (2022)

Heartfelt

I was skeptical in the beginning cos the story was very slow, Some antics were abit off, some scenes were not necessary but added. But i do like the film, specially in showing the world class talent of filipinos to international audience. The story was predictable, but what I like about the movie was the cinematography too. I love how it shows the beauty of Philippines and Rotterdam. It was a heart warming movie and brilliant acting from Baron and the young and old Yumi. Nearing to the end the essence of the film shine through burst with emotions. . The last scene was perfect to end, i cried truly..
