Teen Titans Go! (2013)
Brilliant, just brilliant
So many different people, so many different tastes in humor.
'Eek, The Cat!', 'Ren & Stimpy', 'SpongeBob' are just a few names that come in mind when trying to explain why 'Teen Titans GO!' appeals to me.
Me and my wife watch this with our 5, 11 and 13 year olds and we love the humour, the timing, the music -everything!
Awesome show, glad this exists.
Extraction (2020)
Hey Sylvester, about Rambo 5...
Sylvester Stallone, watch and take notes - this is how it's done.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Loved it
No review here, I'll leave that stuff for the so-called "experts" out there.
I remember watching 'Return of the Jedi' at the cinema with my dad, what feels like a zillion lightyears ago.
A lot of Star Wars movies went by - some good, some not as good - and I consider them ALL to be a bonus.
I watched this one with my two kids and it felt like an emotional rollercoaster. Fast and frantic action, good actors dealing with so-so written dialogue - hey, this is Star Wars... and I love it.
The Predator (2018)
So utterly disappointing...
Predator (1987) is one of my favorite action movies ever. I thought the sequel was pretty good too and I even enjoyed the first Aliens vs Predator.
I never understood the hate for Predators. It was moody, atmospheric and had some good actors in it. Only letdown for me was the Noland character, but hey - you can't have them all.
Another thing I never understood was the hate that Shane Black received for his take on Iron Man in Iron Man 3. I'm into comics and I know about The Mandarin's origins, however I thought it was pretty original to be honest.
HOWEVER, after watching 'The Predator' it suddenly became all to clear to me. He took something beloved, tried to be original but ended up failing so hard on all fronts.
Sheep Impact (2011)
Fun
There is another review somewhere on this board, complaining about how this movie was an disappointment, and that you should wait for Steven Seagal's next movie. Well, let me explain a bit: don't expect gun-toting villains, flying fists and exploding cars. This is actually a fun short movie/advertisement starring Steven Seagal - and a sheep - showing some great comedic timing.
It's great to see Steven Seagal doing his best, it even seems he's enjoying himself. I think it's a pity the movie was as short as it is, I would pay for a longer - even more funnier - version.
That's what this is all about, a fun ad about a drink.
Darkness (2002)
scary
*possible spoiler alert*
Excuse me for my bad use of grammar but, I found this movie to be quite scary actually. It has been a while since I last saw it, but the scenes for example where little children can be seen as a silhouette on the background, gave me the cold chills. No special-effects needed, but very good use of the camera. What I also liked about this movie was the ending. Without spoiling to much; I think it really was sort of the icing on the cake.
What disturbs me is that people always tend to compare movies with other ones. Try not to listen to that sort of people. If you are looking for a dark, more or less frightening movie, than check this one out. You wont be disappointed.
