Délibáb (2014)
Bland, like many romanian movies
This movie was made in such specific communist school scenography that makes you throw it in the general Romanian movie section. It's nice to see Romanian acclaimed actors in a neighboring country speaking Hungarian but the acting is theatre-like and lacks substance.
No character buildup, no real intrigue, just gratuitous violence and human decadence in a surreal place where time stood still, and two Romanians run a stupid farm takeover with stranded fugitives in a neighboring country. Strange idea, it's like making a movie about Americans running a modern farm with Mexicans in Mexico. Makes no sense.
Bland.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
A worthy closing story for Indiana
It would be a shame to continue to exploit this line. It has such a beautiful closure for Indiana.
Lots of fast paced action, interesting character development, interesting casting, it seems that many names have come to bid farewell to this Indiana Jones line.
Even Marion, who we didn't expect to see. It is very beautiful when people choose to grow old naturally without the aid of Botox and other gimmicks. It really suits heavy caliber actors such as Harrison Ford and Karen Allen. They induce a special feel in the story and let be that they are getting older and can't do the things that they used to be.
The CGI is not bad, not awesome, but on spot. Could have been more polished but it's all right.
Future World (2018)
A gate without a fence - this quite sums it up.
A gate implies that there is a fence, and that the gate is the only way to get through the fence to the other side.
Folks-there is no fence!
An I-Robot wannabe topped with some cheap 125cc motorcycles and some thrift-shop leather clothes.
Oh; lest we forget, a pimp-boss featuring Snoop Dogg.
Vampire Academy (2014)
Worst sound ever for a movie
It's like they didn't do post-production audio editing. The sound keeps oscillating between extremely low and damp during dialogs and extremely loud and uneven during fights and ... i used the volume button between every scene to get a hold of what they were saying. The fights are somewhat made up with not regard to real physics, it's like they are dancing and that their every move is coordinated and approved by the director. It's no natural movement, even if it's a dhampir, vampire, whatever the heck they are called movie. I find more comfort in watching a Chinese old movie in which they flew all over the place rather than watching these really old teenagers fight Strigoi(which by any book written in the language the word comes from they are not blood-sucking beasts).
Battle Force (2012)
----spoiler alert
to make a resume....they waste tons of ammo without anyone dying from gunfire. For God's sake, more people die from knifes and hand to hand combat that from bullets. From a point on, the movie is like looking at a a hall with sewing machines because everyone is firing their weapons and at some point (after 100-200 rounds) they remember they should reload. Pathetic. When they had to clear a village, each grunt got a house to clear if you can believe that so the team was separated all the time. Good one guys. Honestly, look at another movie...even looking at the sky seems a better deal than watching this movie. Even when the Germans make a fire barrage and shoot the good guys from the back they still don't get anyone. Oh, I almost forgot; in this movie they can shoot in bent trajectories; for who's interested in this, should check the first 5 minutes of the movie and see that the captain shoots from behind a rock and then advances to hide behind a bigger rock that was in front of his line of site previously.
