They don't make em like this anymore - Thank Goodness!

My Dad used to work part time at a drive-in theater, and 1 night packed up the whole family for a 3 picture horror night. The Horror on Party Beach, was the first film that played. I was about 6 years old at the time, and the movie scared the pee outa me. I found this same film 40 years later, and laughed my bum off, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why it scared me so bad. If you watch closely, you can see some shoes under the monsters costumes. This is a great campy film to share with a bunch of friends. My wife and I had a great time watching this movie. Not quite as good as, The Attack of The Mushroom People, but how many of you have seen that classic piece of celluloid?

A b-rating for this flick, is an insult to b-grade films

After seeing this film, I've come to the conclusion that, Plan 9 From Outer Space, should have won an Oscar. Bad acting, bad plot, bad dialog, un-scary sharks. The list could go on and on. I actually sat through this entire film, hoping it would get better, but Noooo! Now Jeff Fahey's character was the only redeeming factor in this movie, and that was for the comedic value of his part. Poor Jeff must have needed some serious pocket cash, or he must be a close friend of the Producer's. There were several cute girls in the movie, Whitney Sloan, being one of them, but even they couldn't save this poor excuse for a horror film. If you're an Ed Wood fan, you might like this flick, but I think Ed's movies are far far better than this...

This was one of the first science fiction films I ever saw as a child. The story starts out in a remote science station in the Antartic. A group of men find a flying saucer buried in the ice, and it's pilot buried a short distance away. They screw up retrieving the saucer, but they don't have any problems bringing back the body of the alien, which is frozen in a block of ice. When it thaws out, this is when the fun begins! Here's some trivia for you. See if you can figure out who the alien is before the end of the movie. Here's a hint. He played a major character in one of the longest running Western series on television. They did a remake of this film with Kurt Russell, but I think the original is the better of the two...
