Race to Witch Mountain (2009)
Great for the family!
I just saw this movie about an hour ago, and I gotta say I was impressed. I'm not big on remakes of classics, and I was kinda turned off by The Rock being in the movie, but I ended up being entertained quite well. Surprisingly, I didn't expect so many people to catch The Rock's elbow blow. XD He kicked some major ass in the movie. The movie is basically about two alien children with powers, that employ The Rock, who is a taxi driver, to take them to their destination, to find some alien object; and later to their ship. They have to achieve this all while being chased by the government agents. Gun fire, explosions, alien weapons, and alien powers all rolled into one film. This movie is a great movie to take the family to see, or you could even go see it yourself. Even with all the action, and The Rock smacking heads, and the great chase scenes, they managed to put in a pinch of funny into the film.
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009)
Not for the fans...OR ANYBODY >=(
Why was it bad? Well, the chick that played Chun-li was'nt even Asian, but as a child, they had Asian kid to play the part. Bison was the biggest joke of the movie, and WHY THE HELL DID BALROG USE A GUN!?! There were only about 3 good fight scenes, and the entire movie consisted of useless scenes and corny acting. Save you money and wait for it to come to DVD. Its gotta be soon. You can check out my video review on it on my youtube page. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCvaT24ehf8 . But seriously, can someone tell me why Vega was an Asian male with long dark hair? The Vega from the games has blonde/brown hair, and HE'S FROM SPAIN. I really hope they don't do a sequel. The sequel is supposed to have Ryu in it, and from what I've seen, these people are not capable of taking a video game, and making a good movie from it. Hell, they couldn't even CAST the damn movie correctly. Only Balrog was the right choice for the damn movie, but he didn't even do much punching or dashing like from the games. Thanks Hollywood, you fail again.
