Dan Carter: A Perfect 10 (2019)
The best number 10 to play the game of rugby
This is a really well filmed back story into the life of Dan Carter, but shows how down to earth he is but also goes into detail about the highs and lows about how he became the top scorer in rugby union of all time.
A classic for any kiwi to watch but also for anyone interested in the game of rugby and what it takes to achieve at the highest level despite the numerous set backs.
Carter is not only the highest scorer of all time but defined the role of a number 10 or flyhalf, it was not just about the excellent kicking but having an all-round running game and even try scorer. The film shows how he engages with people in a team sport but mainly with the All Blacks and how he created a legacy and a level that few if any will surpass.
One of a select few to win two world cups in rugby Carter is also the highest scorer for penalties and conversions of all time.
A humble likeable superstar.
Key people in rugby give their opinions including Richie McCaw, Steve Hansen, Wayne Smith, Robbie Deans, his wife Honor Carter and Jonny Wilkinson. To have Wilkinson there is a key as he is second on the all time list and he praises Carter the Perfect 10, his record stands for itself, a moving documentary.
Chasing Great (2016)
Exceptionally well made documentary compulsory for any Rugby fan
As a kiwi is an amazing watch, really well made and comes across in a really authentic way. Great story but really goes deep into what it takes to succeed at the top of sport. If your a rugby fan you will love this.
Contains all the highs and the lows Richie McCaw went through but also doesn't show too much Rugby with the focus more on the back story.
Lots of cool slow mo's and some gorgeous New Zealand scenery.
The only captain to win two rugby world cups this is history really well captured on film. He is a legend of the game but also down to earth and this film really captures that. This is probably the golden era of NZ rugby captured superbly.
10 out of 10.
The Good Wife: Bitcoin for Dummies (2012)
The Bitcoin angle in this makes it a stand alone episode
This has aged very well when viewing the Bitcoin aspects considering this was made in 2012 and way ahead of its time. Some of the scenes are absolutely brilliant eg. The 'I just bought my first bitcoin' section near the end. Makes it compulsory viewing for any Bitcoiner and will continue to improve with age as Bitcoin gains more adoption. If you are not into bitcoin one day you will come back to appreciate the content.
