Valiant (2005)
7/10
Wonderful... if you like British things and WWII
19 August 2005
I was excited to see Valiant both because I love animation of any sorts and because I like all things British. I was not disappointed on either aspect, but I could tell that the children in the audience where. Unless you count the occasional fart joke, the jokes are aimed for an older crowd or an English crowd (or those who don't watch anything but BBCAmerica or late night PBS).

I thought the voice talents were wonderful. I thought it was great to see so many well known British actors together in a film. I would love to see the recording sessions. But then again, this only adds to the Britishness of the film, and alienates most American audiences.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie, but I am biased. I am one who enjoys BBCAmerica and the occasional late night PBS. I also enjoyed every movie that has come from England, especially Shaun of the Dead, and plan on moving there one day. So I liked the movie, and predict that anyone like me would also.

Great Performances: Josh Groban in Concert (2002)
Season 31, Episode 4
10/10
I love Josh!
27 February 2003
The first time I saw Josh was on the Tonight Show. He just blew me away. I couldn't believe that voice of his. It is so wonderful and rich. I just love everything about him. I almost got to see him at this PBS concert, but I couldn't make travel arrangements. I was so sad after that. I hope he goes on tour soon.

I loved this concert footage, and all the behind the scenes footage that is on the DVD. His performance is wonderful. He will be huge (bigger than he is now) one day, and I will follow him the entire way. I love you Josh. Keep up the good work.

Carrie (2002 TV Movie)
Leave good movies alone!
4 November 2002
I am very particular in what I like to watch. I am a big fan of Stephen King. Carrie was one of the first movies of his I saw, and I enjoyed it. The acting was great and the final scene was freaky. I just watched Carrie on NBC and I was greatly disappointed. Who gave them the right to remake a perfectly good movie? If the movie was good in the first place, then leave it alone. I feel the same way with Planet of the Apes, but that is a different story. I feel that there is no better Carrie than Sissy Spacek, and if a director really needs money, then please remake a bad movie. I could name a few right now.
