Was better than i expected!
11 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
After watching Plane dead i actually thought it was quite good.

A basic plot run down of this film is that a plane full of passengers and their crew are going on a flight from Los Angeles to Paris.

In the first 30 minutes of the film we are introduced to many different characters some that are likable and have personality and others that have attitudes and you cant wait to see them be terrorised later on. Also on the flight contains a container which when opened a female doctor along with a few others cause a zombie outbreak. People are quickly infected and have to fight to survive on the plane which i thought was a fairly original idea from a horror/action film with a little comedy here and there, even though it has been compared to Snakes On A Plane i heard it was produed before.

Highlights include a woman getting her legs ripped off, another woman getting a throat bitten and being pulled through a mirror and various other zombie attacks. I wont spoil the ending although it does set up a premise for a sequel.

Overall i would give this film a 7 out 10 and say it is worth watching.

A brilliant Spanish Giallo Movie!
17 June 2008
Warning: Spoilers
The movie Blue Eyes Of The Broken Doll is a film that i find is very much underestimated amongst some fans of the horror genre.

I was reminiscent of the film and watched it again last night under the video version of the same name which i believe to be the uncut version as the American versions were entitled House of Doom and House Of the Psychotic Women were both cut versions but i am uncertain as to which scenes were cut out although i suspect that one of them would upset members of PETA.

In regards to the movie which is Spanish but set in France, an escaped convict named Gilles has gone to a town in France searching for a new life and work. He visits a local café in waitress is less than welcoming. He later meets a young woman named Claude who after much hardship and a disfigured hand lives with her two sisters Yvette who is wheelchair bound and Nicole who is a nymphomaniac within a house and estate and need some help so he is invited to work and stay with them. Gilles suffers from flashbacks at times from his previous crimes of strangling a woman who was his lover. Nicole wastes no time in seducing Gilles who later turns his affections to Claude who believes a man would never be interested in her. There is bitter rivalry between all three sisters who have different ways of living.

Yvette's condition is being helped by the local doctor and a nurse named Michelle who turns up to replace another nurse, Margo since her disappearance, she is suspicious of Michelle who has problems outside of work but her doctor reassures her that she has her best interests at heart.

All the main characters are introduced within the first half an for the plot development and all have something to hide once we get to know a little about them, the story takes a more sinister turn when police first discover that the nurse who was supposed to care for Yvette has been found murdered and then an unknown killer starts to stalk and murder young, attractive, blond haired and blued eyed women. There disguise is to be completely covered in black with gloves trademark is to cut out the blue eyes of their victims, although the viewer does not get to see this unfortunately. The set up of the killings is dark and atmospheric like in many other European horror films from the giallo genre with the music from the children's rhyme Feres Jacques playing in the background and it gets more catchy each time, it is very memorable in reference to the film. Although the killings are not as graphic as you would expect due to production limitations and one misleading cover photo in which tries to make you believe the decapitation of one of the women in the film is more explicit then it actually is. This film turns more from horror to that of a thriller when it comes to the viewer finding out who is the culprit if these gruesome murders.

The first hour appears quite predictable but no one could expect the disturbing outcome of this classic and intelligent storyline which is only revealed in the last few scenes makes it definitely worth the watch alone, I wont spoil it for you but it should definitely make you appreciate the films plot and understand the killers motive.

I am also pleased that after 35 years Blue Eyes Of the Broken Doll has finally been released on DVD and presented in high definition so i hope to see this version soon.

I would give this film a 7 out of 10!

Hood Angels (2003)
4/10
R.E:Nowhere near as good as Charlies Angels!
26 February 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I watched Hood Angels last months as a couple of friends decided to put the movie on.

There are three main female characters in the film (Cinnamon, Felicia and Traci) who all get involved in bad situations but through innocent circumstances come together after they are sent to prison.

I believe that the film did have some potential as the main character Cinnamon tries to uncover the truth about her brothers murder and there are one or two twists along the way. The main antagonist in the film is Shayla who has instigated a lot of the trouble and she can be quite a bitch at times. Her cat fight with Felicia is probably one of the best fight scenes in the film.

There were however some disappointments, the acting could have been improved between some of the characters as they could have had more personality and the effects could have been a little better, also there is not a lot of action in the film until the final half an hour which is worth seeing.

Sadly i can only give this film 4 out of 10.

Bad Girls Club (2006– )
7/10
R.E:Great Reality T.V Show!
30 November 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the first season of The Bad Girls Club earlier this year and i really enjoyed it.

SPOILERS AHEAD The basic concept of the bad girls club as a reality television show was to put seven bad girls together in a house which they must live together for three months and preferably reform themselves or concentrate on positive goals in their lives.Out of the seven original bad girls only three make it to the end of the 22 part show and there are three replacements too! There are many arguments, cat fights, back stabbing and bitchiness between the young women all coming from different professions such as:Singing,Stripping and Modelling.

My favourite Bad Girl of the series has to be Ripsi who sadly only makes it through three episodes of the show. She is a complex house guest and is part of many acts of violence and binge drinking before she is asked to leave the house (Ripsi's conclusion unfolds in the reunion show and also on the final episode of Bad Girls Road Trip) One of the house rules is that you must not start fights and be violent. I also liked the bad girls Leslie and Aimee but all the girls had qualities about them i liked and disliked.

The show is followed by a spin off called Bad Girls Road Trip featuring Leslie,Zara and Aimee and i am so looking forward to season 2 which is due to start in December!!!

"A great horror,comedy film"
31 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The Clown at Midnight is a horror film which came out in the late 1990's and it is better than your average slasher film.

*Spoliers Ahead* What i enjoyed most about this film was that it did not just have a horror element to it yet there was suspense in a dark, atmospheric opera house and some comedy in it as well, with the range of personalities.Several of the films characters are immediately recognisable which included Tatyana Ali and Margot Kidder, both of there roles were good and fun although the characters could have got a little more screen time before there gruesome demises.

The character of Ashley added some bitchiness to the film, her character was insensitive to Kate and had an attitude towards others,it would have been good to see her get a slap although when she finally meets the grim reaper it is with little sympathy.

*End of spoilers* This film is only independently available but if you can get hold of a copy then i would recommend that you go and see it, 6 out of 10.

Death Spa (1988)
7/10
R.E:A Fun & Entertaining Horror Film!
30 April 2006
I watched the film Deathspa under the title Witchbitch in 1990 and i found it quite enjoyable, It is fairly difficult to find but worth it.

The following review contains *Spoilers*

This film is not your conventional slasher flick but more of a horror/mystery film that does not take itself too seriously. The story is about a health spa which has been cursed by the spirit of a woman named Catherine who dies shockingly and her husband and brother work there. Unexplainable accidents and even deaths occur in the health spa and while this happens two detectives try to unfold these unexplainable occurrences, could Catherine be responsible for all the mayhem going on at the Starbody Health Spa.

We are introduced to at least a couple of dozen characters of various stereotypes including two workers in the club who are con artists, bimbos and vain people that like nothing more than to look good.

This film also contains many classic death scenes including a woman who is killed with a food processor! It also has many celebrity cameo appearances from Karyn Parsons who played Hilary in the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and Brenda Bakke from Demon Knight.

Recommended to horror fans who want to watch a film for enjoyment and have some fun 7 out of 10!

A better film than the original Charlie's Angels
25 July 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Charlie's Angels 2 starts off shortly after part 1 finished. I was fortunate enough to go to the London premier of this film and get Drew Barrymore's autograph which was a delight! Minor Spoilers!!The film centers around a government witness protection act with the witness making reports about crimes and then being bumped off by several killers, one in particular doesn't show their true colours until the second half of the film! There is also a purpose of charlie's angels to get and keep hold of two precious rings that everyone seems to want End Of Spoilers!! One of my favourite things about Charlies Angel's is that the film mixes Comedy with Action and Suspense well and is always constantly exciting to watch and see what happens next, there are lots of funny one liners and cameo appearances from other celebrities. It was also excellent to see actress Demi Moore in her first major feature film for 6 years and back to providing a film with a brilliant and memorable performance. The other actresses Cameron Diaz,Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu also provide the film with talented acting, humour and some outrageous stunts. If you liked Charlie' Angels then im sure you will love Charlie's Angels:Full Throttle. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Wrong Turn (I) (2003)
6/10
An above average film!
25 July 2003
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the film Wrong turn a few weeks ago as i had heard about other similar films such as:Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills That Have Eyes and thought that this film would be worth watching. MINOR SPOILERS:This film is about a group of teenagers that go to the woods and are killed one by one by a group of cannibals but try spending most of their time escaping from the tyrants day and night. One of the worst scenes in the film has to be when several of the surviving teens visit the murderers hideout and find several gruesome discoveries END OF SPOILERS! It was good to see Eliza Dushku in a horror film playing one of the main characters as i miss her role as Faith in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. This film will appeal to older teenagers and adults and could be quite scary for some viewers. So if you are a fan of Eliza Dushku and this genre of films then i suggest that you go and see this one soon.My rating is 6 out of 10.

A worthwhile sequel
19 August 2002
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this movie last night and thought that it was impressive. I think that this sequel in the Halloween franchise was the best as it had a different feel to it than any of the other films.

SPOILERS!!!! I was disappointed that Jamie Lee Curtis was killed off within the first 15 minutes and Tyra Banks death scene was done off screen which the viewer themself didn't know she had been killed until near the end of the film End Of Spoilers!!!!

Anyway the film had an interesting storyline and the acting performances from the leading characters were good but i wonder if they are going to take this series to a different level after all this is Part 8.

If they do ever make decide to make a Part 9 then i would be curious to find out which direction they will take the series in. I would give this film 7 out of 10 and say go and see it!

An Excellent slasher film reviewed by L. White from London
17 August 2002
Warning: Spoilers
I first saw this film in 1995 under the title Nightmare Vacation and was pleasantly surprised, there are lots of laughs in this film and it is quite entertaining. At the time i was unaware that the U.K version of the film was cut by 2 minutes and 16 seconds of violence. So i brought the American version titled (Sleep Away Camp 2:Unhappy Campers)MINOR SPOILER: Watch out for the scene in which the queen bitch Ally gets her just deserts from Angela and i tell you now it is not for the faint hearted! Go and watch this film for fun it is not scary in the least as it is more of a comedy than a horror, it also spoofs other popular horror films of the late 1980's.
