This has got to be the worst line spoken on a court room.
But not the worst thing in the episode:
The delineation of the prosecutors as these caricatures of super villains, especially the recently elected one, talking in an overly pompous way that leaves no doubt he's the bad guy, as opposed to a nuanced political player but interested in justice.
The victim's son booking encounters, taping stuff... it's just beyond believable. Makes it for some kind of cop series episode.
Lastly, the wife entering a very soap-opera-esque affair with a bartender and discussing it with the friend... just so "chick flick" vibes.
But not the worst thing in the episode:
