Highlander III: The Sorcerer (1994)
*Contains Spoilers*
What I liked best about this movie was that it (unlike part 2) refers to the first Highlander.I really enjoyed the addition of the sorcerer in this movie also, it added more challenge for Connor, but unfortunately, not enough challenge. Apparently Connor didn't really recieve the prize in the first movie and forgot about Kane, an immortal trapped in a mountain for 400 years, whom he now must face to discover who will be the one. I really liked this movie, Christopher Lambert is great.
Maniac Cop 2 (1990)
**Spoilers** Not quite the original....
I constantly hear people declare Maniac Cop 2 superior to the original, but I seriously think that the storyline of part one was greater. Here, we have Matt Cordell, still not dead, still wanting vengeance. Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) is VERY unjustly killed off at the very begining, which didn't matter to me the first time I viewed this movie, mainly because this was the first one I watched, and I loved it...It's great, just, not as good as part 1.He then kills the other survivor from part 1 and teams up with a stripper killer..Well, as the movie progresses, many cops are kill, the stripper killer is killed as Cordell is set ablaze by the criminals who killed him...the flaming Cordell grabs the killer and they both fall several stories onto a bus to their deaths, but not before Cordell has a change in heart. Gotta love this movie.
Pumpkinhead (1988)
*Spoilers* Vengeful Demon
This is probably an excellently excecuted demon film. Lance Henrikson's son is hit by a careless dirt biker and killed, so he finds an old witch, who helps him by sending forth the vengeful demon Pumpkinhead, who begins killing off the dirt biker and his friends, until Lance, filled with regret, tries to destroy the monster, realizing that in the end, the only way to stop the creature is through the death of he who has summoned him.
Maniac Cop (1988)
*Spoilers* Bruce Campbell vs The Undead Cop
The original Maniac Cop is, in my opinion, by far the best in the series. The fun of this movie is that it is not just your average horror movie, but it's also one of those movies in which the killer is shrouded in mystery for most of the film. Bruce Campbell plays as Jack Forrest, the man arrested for the murders done buy a killer in an officer uniform. Sure, he's guilty of cheating on his wife, but as for murders, he's obviously been framed by someone on the force. Matt Cordell, who was put away years ago and stuffed into a prison in which most of the criminals were put away by him (they slice him up REAL GOOD), it turns out, has returned from the dead.Jack (Campbell) escapes from jail and must not only put down Cordell, but also prove his innocence. This movies conclusion was VERY action-packed for a horror film, and Bruce Campbell pulls off a performance only he could give.
