Arrow: Legacy (2016)
Redemption
This episode was absolutely incredible. And that is especially emphasized coming off of the last season of this show, which was absolutely terrible and had no episode worthy of a rating higher than a 7/10. This episode see's Arrow go back to its roots, finally straying away from the supernatural elements of the previous two seasons. Oliver is back to his dark and gritty approach to problems and situations and we get to see him handle all that as well as his life as Mayor of Star City which is really cool. The flashbacks are also immediately captivating having Oliver in Russia and throughout the episode they're really great. All in all, watch this season, I know that season 4 was bad, but do yourself a favour and still watch this season. It's the best season. What a comeback for Arrow.
The Flash (2014)
Hasn't been good for seven years.
This show used to be really great. It really did. The first two seasons had really great villains, really great season long storylines, great episodes, and most especially, amazing characters. This show felt like the writers actually cared about it. That was for the first two seasons though. After that, the show went downhill completely and never released a good season again. The main problem with flash is that it focuses on all of the wrong characters instead of Barry Allen. The writing in the latter seasons is also extrememly trrrible and it feels like there is no care or love for this show at all. It's just lazy filler writing where Barry Allen is barely the main character. Watch the first two seasons, third if you want a conclusion.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
Visually AMAZING, Storytelling is ON-POINT, Characters are spectacularly developed, and it has one of the BEST plot twists in ALL OF FICTION
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! This film is an actual masterpiece of cinematic storytelling. This film is incredibly animated and you can tell that the people who worked on this film really put 100% effort into this and spent a lot of time making it. It does not feel rushed at all and all the characters in this film go through incredible story arcs and grow as people. This film expands on and improves on just about EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of Into the Spider-Verse and is just a better film, the one criticism that people have is that it doesn't get a proper ending, and why the hell did you expect it to? It's a part one, it has been since the day it was announced. I personally like the way it ended with the Gwen finally letting go of this Spider-Society and forming a team to try and find Miles and stop Miguel O'Hara. This is as much of Gwen's story as it is Miles and she is incredible in this film, but just like the first one, MILES STEALS THE SHOW! Miles is incredible in this film as he comes into his own and proves himself to be one of the best and most skilled Spider-Man of all time and far more than just "an anomaly" and proves himself worthy of the title by outsmarting hundreds of Spider-Men, AND MIGUEL O'HARA! This film is absolutely amazing.
The Flash (2023)
'THE FLASH', An incredible superhero film, an alright Flashpoint film
'THE FLASH' is a great superhero film! I loved just about every second of this film! I don't think it deserves to be hated on because of the actions of one actor because in my opinion, the storyline, the characters, the chemistry, and the acting of this film is actually really good. It has a lot of very emotional scenes that are very well written and shot and it also has a lot of epic scenes and massive stakes that make the film so enjoyable. Young Barry is extremely lovable and the arc he goes through in this film is actually really cool. Michael Keaton coming back as Batman and Sasha Calle appearing as Supergirl, as well as seeing Zod in this film is cool as well. All in all this is an INCREDIBLE superhero film. Where it falters, is being a Flash film, especially a Flash film based off of the classic "Flashpoint" storyline. It was a very bad decision deciding to make this film a multiverse film. I feel like they should have just STUCK WITH TIME TRAVEL! I really don't think that we should have gotten the cameos we got, nor should we have gotten a Young Barry. We should have gotten a Barry Allen only focused storyline, where Barry returns to his time after saving his mother and finding out that because of HIS ACTIONS, the ENTIRE TIMELINE AND UNIVERSE (key words, timeline & universe, not multiverse) has been changed and key events in his old times history have been altered and he has changed many people's lives, history, family, even things that happened BEFORE him saving his mother have changed. Reverse Flash should have also been the villain, being Barry's literal Arch-Nemesis, I feel like he should have been the villain of his FIRST EVER LIVE ACTION FILM! But for what this film is, I love it! As a superhero film, it's amazing, maybe even perfect, for a Flash movie, I mean I guess it's alright. Averaging them out, I get a great movie that I have a lot of fun and great time with, but is very flawed, though it's fun atmosphere and enjoyable nature saves it.
