Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater (2020)
Yes. A watch over and over one!
You may be like me. I either cannot get through a Hallmark Movie or I watch it over and over.
This is one of the watch over and over ones for me. The leads were excellent and very enjoyable to watch.
There was good attention to the side characters such as the male lead's best friend.
All the children in the movie did a great job.
Everything worked from start to finish with a good plot that moved along at the right pace.
Love the comedic touches right up to the very last scene. None were overdone.
So, go ahead. Forget the title that may make it seem like a waste of time. Instead, realize it may be one you will watch over and over.
Call Me Mrs. Miracle (2010)
A Gem!
Yes. This movie is a little gem! One of the very best Hallmark movies I have seen.
One of the reasons is that the lead character, Mrs. Miracle, was outstanding. This is the kind of performance that takes whatever is on the page to a new level. She was wonderful.
The plot is a beautiful depiction of how events may be orchestrated to our advantage by someone or something else. It is a VERY positive movie in the midst of so much negativity. Well done! It's the only kind of movie I want to see these days.
The two romantic leads were wonderful, playing their parts with incredible ability.
This is a sequel to a previous one called "Mrs. Miracle". That one was lacking since the plot did not allow the character, Mrs. Miracle, to really shine. That is not a problem in this move. She shines!
Like many Hallmark movies, there was a bit of overacting on the part of a couple important side characters. This was a distraction and it was a bit difficult to watch them.
But, so be it. The movie is still a gem. It is worth watching over and over.
Christmas Getaway (2017)
Excellent!
This is one of the great ones! By great ones I mean that you will watch over and over!
The story is so enjoyable and believable. Simple yet fully compelling at the same time. Well done!
The two leads are fantastic. Right on with their acting. They know their characters and the plot and play it so well.
This is a movie where there is a significant child part that is played perfectly well too! The child lead is spot on and she adds an awful lot.
The scene of the getaway town, "Pine Grove", is wonderful. The renter of cabins in that town is a terrific side character.
Everything works in this movie from start to finish.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (2008)
A Hallmark Gem!
In my opinion, this is one of the great Hallmark Movies. One to record and watch a dozen times.
The story is exceptional and the two leads are outstanding. What a treat to watch both of them and they were well suited for each other. You will love the chemistry.
In addition, Henry Winkler's character was perfect for him, well written, and perfectly played. His character was a joy to watch and someone you would love to know. Terrific!
This movie also has an ending that is both believable and stunning! The perfect type of ending for a romance. Loved it.
The movie suffered from just a bit of overacting on the part of a couple of important side characters. But, we can all survive that. This movie is a BIG winner from start to finish. Watch it a dozen times like me!
On the Twelfth Day of Christmas (2015)
Yes. A winner of a movie!
Seems like I either hate Hallmark movies or love one so much I can't stop watching it over and over.
This movie is a watch over and over one for me. Loved it. The main two leads are wonderful. They are spot on in their acting and seem to get the plot and their characters exactly.
This is also a movie where several side actors are so excellent that they add a lot to the movie. For example the female lead's editor and male lead's program manager were amazing.
The plot is thoughtful, believable, realistic, and charming. It seems to have a sense of carefully constructed scenes throughout that make the entire production a joy.
There are few Hallmark movies that don't have a few glaring errors. But, you would be hard-pressed to find some in this movie. So, go ahead. Watch it over and over like me.
Romantic Rewrite (2022)
Yes! Watch it over and over!
I either love a Great American Family movie as I watch it or hate it. I either watch it over and over or I don't even get through it.
So, what is this one? It is a watch over and over one for me. The two leads are great. They never overact and seem to get the plot and who their characters are exactly. There are several side characters who also add a lot to the movie, especially Aunt Edith. I love when the side characters are carefully thought out like this one.
The plot is intelligent with a few memorable comedic moments that make you love the writing. As an author myself, this movie about writing rang true. As someone who has always valued a good editor, much of this was spot on.
There were a few character issues that one more rewrite could have fixed. The ending was a tad confusing too. But, so be it. The movie hit on so much else that it is a winner.
