The Winchesters: Pilot (2022)
I'm sticking around for the ride.
For a pilot episode, it was pretty good. There were a few rough patches mainly some forced line delivery and inconsistent chemistry between the characters, though that can be ironed out with a little time. Hopefully, once the writers get a better understanding of the actors' strengths and the actors get a better feel for each other and their characters, scenes will have a better rhythm to them. I suspect some of the awkwardness was due to dreaded but necessary exposition.
I appreciated the Indiana Jones esq opening scene and the familiar premise of searching for their hunter fathers. I also liked the Scooby-Doo feel of the ensemble cast though I can't say I was instantly invested in any of the characters (except Carlos. Soon as he hit the screen I was here for it). That said, I look forward to getting to know all of the characters and seeing where the story goes.

Not a bad Pilot Episode; has potential
I see several reviews holding continuity up as the big issue here. But we're talking about the Supernatural universe, a universe in which characters having their memories wiped, time traveling, and coming back from the dead is just a regular Tuesday morning. So, these plot points that seem to interfere with continuity, I suspect will eventually be addressed in a creative way.
The episode is by no means a 10, but as pilots go, I thought it was ok. The writing, the acting, the chemistry, all of it was ok. Pilots can be a rocky affair, but there were a few moments that rose above the rest, which gives me hope. I'm looking forward to seeing the actors and the writing hit a flow and find their stride.
