Good Omens (2019)
Outstanding adaptation of an incredible book
I spent the last few minutes trying to think of a film/movie/TV show that I enjoyed better than the 5.5 hours of Good Omens and I just can't think of one. I'm a big fan of the book and found this to be an adaptation that just fits. Michael Sheen and David Tennant are perfectly cast and the rest of the actors are outstanding. Josie Lawrence IS Agnes Nutter. I absolutely love Dog - well, especially his latter form. The direction was great along with the cinematography. The soundtrack was seamless. The "friendship" of the two main characters kept the story consistently enthralling. I found no point during the entire epic where the story lagged for even a second. As an atheist, I found the author's version of this myth narritive to be hilarious just like those in Terry Pratchett's other worlds. I have seen this 3 times so far and only get Amazon Prime on the months that I must have my Good Omens fix. I will buy the Blue Ray now. I look forward in anticipation to Good Omens 2 and hope that it's as extraordinary as the first.
Hollows Grove (2014)
Why is there no minus option?
This film is truly bad. The characters apparently hate the young woman and harass her at any opportunity. At one point a main character pushes here against a wall in a simulated rape and she laughs it off. The male characters taunt each other constantly with childish games and bullying. Alas, I unfortunately will miss the ending where each get their well deserved life-exit as one scene depicts an extremely violent act against an animal. At that point I turned it off. I can't think of an audience that would enjoy this flick. Those working on this pic should be ashamed of themselves for their participation in it - especially the writer.
