The Patient (2022)
Unrealistic and Boring
Seriously over long and extremely boring. They dragged out the season to make it 10 short episodes when it could have been 3 or 4.
And killing victims by ONE handed strangulation with victims not even fighting back!.. come on! Seriously total fantasy and unrealistic. Seems at times like a bad black comedy.
In the end, killing Alan off instead of making the mom or Sam come to any honest realization of how wrong it all was- well that was just rubbish.
Stupid ending! Even if it would have been unreasonable that Alan could have fought back, Sam could have had a moment of clarity and stopped it.
Boiling Point (2021)
Brilliant
The only criticism about this movie was lack of subtitles. Stephen Graham's thick Welsh accent can be a little hard to understand even for someone speaks english, but all in all for me one of the stand out movies of the year.
The extraordinary thing about Boiling Point is that it is filmed all as one remarkable take. There are no cuts, no dissolves, no editing. The camera snakes through corridors, behind heads, and tilts down at food; it follows, a silent and frankly panic-inducing witness to the stress that Andy is under. The entire movie from start to finish is gripping and all actors performances were amazing. Well done.
The Godfather Part III (1990)
Nepotism
Sophia Coppola's role as The Godfather's daughter and seductive cousin to a poor acting Andy Garcia was a disaster. Zero chemistry between the two. Coppola should never have used the movie to propel family self interest. Lack luster Preformance by al and Cliches and trying too hard to connect the third to the first and second. Overall not a complete waste of time, but at this point probably needed a new director.
Love, Death & Robots: Jibaro (2022)
Stunning
Had to watch this twice. Best use of animation I've seen in a long time. Very haunting and emotive piece. For those who are giving bad reviews will never get art either.
The Girlfriend Experience (2016)
First 2 seasons very good. Forget the 3rd
Superb acting and directing in the first 2 seasons. Very intense and believable. 3 season totally lost the plot.
Race to Perfection (2020)
Poorly produced
How can they make a series on the history of F1 and hardly mention Bruce McLaren? So much repeated footage and interviews and yet no time for other important figures and events in F1. Badly done
The Men Who Killed Kennedy (1988)
One of the best ever
Fantastic investigative film-making. VERY VERY scary. Warning, you may feel depressed after watching this series, but in saying that, every American should watch it. If you can, watch the 40th anniversary episodes shown on the history channel. Their not nearly as well produced but the content, evidence and conclusions may actually be the most scary of all. In particular the interview with Oswalds mistress is absolutely compelling and leads the viewer in NO doubt that there was a conspiracy and that Oswald was the patsy. The evidence unearthed leads to even more avenues that need to be explored. Hopefully someone will have the courage write the final chapter.
