Trying to Normalize Adultery
I did not watch this show because it was too close to what I do for a living which is divorce law. I was out of other shows, so I started this and found myself fast forwarding through too much of it. The actors were fine, the daughter was superb and I look forward to seeing much more of her in the future. My issue with the entire script, is not that people fell in love with another, or the mother/step son had a perverse relationship, but that the story is being told in a way to try to say "it's all ok". Truth is, the story was about having your cake and eating it too, which is a line I have to use over and over in my work. The way life should work is if you fall out of love with your spouse, divorce them and move on. But this story is all about "test the waters first, lie to your spouse and children, then lie to the person you are cheating with, and then lie some more to your spouse". I understand that this happens all the time, I deal with it daily, but I don't support 3 seasons of the media trying to normalize the behavior. The attitude that its normal makes my work so much harder than it needs to be.

J Lo Needs to Update Acting Skills
I agree with other reviews that we've all seen the plot of the movie. Good guys chasing bad guys, parent abandoning kid for safety, girl getting involved with bad guy, FBI/cartel/mercenaries all after each other, car chase scenes and gun scenes. It is action packed, but also predictable. The movie itself was ok. Kept my attention. Not a bad view for a week night. The young actress did a nice job, but did not have a huge part. But, J Lo! Same exact speech pattern, same exact part as Enough. She worked in Enough because that was 20 years ago and there weren't as many similar movies. But her acting has not improved and that is disappointing. She's beautiful, she is a top notch dancer and singer. She does not need to keep building her resume, so just cut out the acting and leave these movies to someone whose passion is acting and needs the job.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023)
Surprisingly Good Prequel
Prequels and Sequels are typically never close to the originals, so I was surprised by the well written story of this show. The actors were perfect for their roles and it was nice to see so many familiar faces, mixed in with new players. I do not enjoy fast forwards or look backs and this show is full of them, with one full episode being almost nothing but going forward and past. While they were well used, there were just too many of them. I'm not sure if they ever add the suspense the writers believe they do rather than just telling the story from start to finish. It is an all around good show, just taking a star off for too many "flashes".

Prequels Just Are Never a Good Idea
I understand why the writers wanted to continue with the hype of GOT, but to do so, you actually have to write a better show. I have yet to see a prequel, or generally a sequel, that is better than the original so I am not sure why they keep trying. Generally, the acting was ok. Not great, some much better than others though. The scenes and costumes on par with GOT. Yet, the writing is disjointed. It jumps through time too quickly. The king lived way too damn long. Just none of it was fitting together for me or adding anything to my interest or understanding of GOT. Sorry, this one was just a miss for me. Not bad, but just missed the mark.

Good acting but not great story
Of course they had seasoned actors that made the show better. But could they make KR's hair look more dirty? It was so distracting and unnecessary. Disheveled does not need to mean unclean. And the way she ate, again, not necessary. But beyond that, the acting itself was good. It was a solid movie, but not gripping. I did not find any twists or cliffhangers that would make me keep coming back if the show was not dropped all at once. It was a pretty used political storyline. If there is a season 2, they need some punch to it. But considering what's been released for the past 2 years, this is one of the better Netflix dramas in a while.

Loved Every Actor!
All the actors were perfectly casted. I could not pick a favorite in this one - Wi Ha Joon, Lee Dong Wook, N, Lim Ki Hong, Cha Si Won - all top notch! Choi Kwang-Je and Sung Ji Ru kept me smiling everytime they came on screen. Han Ji Eun was good, but her character itself felt almost as an after-thought. But, Kim Is Ha really stole the show in her scenes - such good acting from such a little one! Too many other good actors to name, but they were all enjoyable to watch. The script jumped around too much for me. It was fast pace and interesting, but just missing something. The show was a solid 8.5 but I gave it a 9 because1/2 stars are not an option.

Too many English speaking scenes
Perhaps because English is my first language, but whenever an actor started speaking English it was difficult to watch. It seemed as if they were just reading the script, instead of acting. Or perhaps it was very difficult to get the words out, so they spoke them extremely slow. It is hard to understand why the writers felt that English was a good addition to the movie, but I reduced my rating because of it.
