Spacey Unmasked (2024)
Welcome to Being a Young Woman
I guess sexual abuse is more common than I thought. Men do these types of things to younger women constantly. Women learn to completely avoid someone they don't like, that likes them. You can't even talk to a guy you're not attracted to when you're under 30, let alone go somewhere alone with them.
I am not victim blaming, but I even wonder if some of these guys did this to women without realizing it's the same thing.
I think Spacey was in the wrong, but hanging out alone with someone you hardly know is not wise. Their desire for fame makes me unsettled. They should not try to use him either. I think some of them knew it was misleading to respond to his calls. He had already put it out there that he was interested in sex. Then they want to go hang out with him?? Some admitting they were just trying to further their careers.
The actor on the set, was entirely a victim.
For some of the others, I think it's extremely risky to hang out with someone that has already made a move. Especially if you felt violated. Listen to your inner warning system! I think that they knew that it was going south.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace (2023)
Spoilers ** The Adoptive Parents are Crazy
I am on episode 6. OK, Natalia clearly aged over the years. She was not an adult when she lived in the apartments. I 100% believe the DNA results and that Anna in the Ukraine is her mother. They look like they are mother and child.
The adoptive parents are insane and trying to cover their abuse and neglect. It's that simple. I don't think there is any mystery to this case. Once you see Natalia now. Once you know about the DNA results.
Regardless of what happens in any court. I think it is obvious they put a young child in an apartment alone that was what 10 years old. That leaves me speechless. The father is just as responsible and is just trying to escape prosecution.
I feel terrible for Natalia. She was gas lit. She was abused, neglected and abandoned. I am glad that one lady took her in and finished raising her.
As an aside the men in this case need to study female puberty. Many of them have no idea when development occurs and they sound stupid talking about the ages, etc. Let the doctors handle the science. It's sad that they give opinions in this case without any training or basic knowledge. It's sad that grown men don't remember basic health class information as well.
The Chosen (2017)
Season 2 Episode 1. Issue with the history
Okay, the scene starts with John talking about his contact with Jesus and his own writings. The problem with this is that the only gospel that might have been written by an actual apostle was Paul. Although, the other Gospels are labeled with Apostle names, they were written many decades after Christ died. They were not written by people who would have known Jesus. Paul is the only apostle that was known to have lived long enough to have actually written a gospel. Even his gospel might have been rewritten by another writer and been based on his letters. It bugs me that such a fundamental error would be allowed into the show. It is very misleading to let the public think the actual apostles wrote the Bible. It changes everything that it was written well after the eye witnesses died. That the authors of the Bible tried to pass it off as eye witness accounts. Why did they chose to do this? It's very suspect and far from a reliable history.
Mindhunter (2017)
Please make Season 3
I implore Netflix to make season 3. If they just can't, then I hope they let another network have the rights. It's the best show I've seen in a few years. It's a great cast. The writing is interesting and I love that they actually develop the characters. The show also tries to gain a greater understanding of human nature, which is a breath of fresh air. People aren't vilified or made into heros. The show makes all of the characters real people. That is so incredibly rare. If a season 3 never happens it will be a loss. The makers of this show deserve to be able to finish the series. It would be possible to wrap it up in season 3. I want to commend all involved on the show. I will look forward to seeing what these actors and the other talent do in the future. They all have just been amazing and deserve awards for this show! I urge the shows creators to push for a final season.
Tell Me Who I Am (2019)
This documentary is about an extremely heavy topic
The documentary is a very high caliber production. I will say this, I sort of wish I had that had never watched it at all.
Whoa, how can that be the case? Well, just like Alex, you want to understand more. However, when I learned the truth I regretted being curious.
The truth is so horrible, I wish I had not watched it at all.
I am literally traumatized by this documentary. They needed to get the story out, but it was horrific. I strongly caution anyone to think twice about watching. It's about terrible sexual abuse. So, don't watch if that will have a negative impact on you. It's also about other abuse as well. The documentary also left out some important details. Like the dad was a step dad. There was a younger sibling that was abused as well. The biological dad died when they were babies, etc. Proceed with caution.
Tudor Monastery Farm (2013)
A Good Series
I like historical reenactment shows. The only thing is s I am not a fan of Ruth Goodman at all. She makes cheese on the series and sticks her filthy fingernails into the cheese. I get that this is probably historically accurate. However, I know she will feed that to someone on the show.
I enjoy these series immensely except for Ruth. I just wish that they would switch up the cast now and then. I don't think she is really TV worthy. Not interesting enough for my taste. She seems to enjoy doing really gross things.
Otherwise, the show is pretty informative. I enjoy the locations that they pick.
Pirate Gold of Adak Island (2022)
Assumptions apon assumptions
It's one of the most irritating shows I have ever seen. All they do is assume that they know something is absolutely true without any basis in reality. They don't use evidence. They guess and draw wild conclusions. If it stays on the air, they are going to milk this forever, just like Oak Island. Actually finding something is never going to happen. They will just bumble around being surprised they were wrong every time. It seems like there is just too much junk and debris to effectively metal detect too. I find it frustrating that they keep finding military debris. It's like 5 feet deep with military base remains. Good luck. I can't think of a worse place to search. Treasure shows also don't make much sense. Putting endless money into a wild goose chase. I think it would be difficult to find it. Even though it's a pretty small island. It's a needle in a haystack. There also many more islands. What's to say it's not on another island or many other islands. That is if it exists at all. They never really establish the sources of this information. Supposedly the pirate lived 2 weeks and then died after being captured. So, I doubt he had time to tell anyone much about the treasure. The people on this show couldn't find the treasure if someone gift wrapped it for them. I have serious doubts, it's not just an unfounded legend.
Untold (2021)
You can't date someone without seeing them in person
I love documentaries and watch them all the time. This topic had no where near enough content to stretch it out this long.
Okay, you were close, I do get it. However, I strongly disagree that you can consider someone your boyfriend or girlfriend, without meeting in person.
You need to spend real time moving or doing something unpleasant or difficult, to really get to know someone. An online only relationship is sort of a fantasy. Not really at all what dating or being married or in love is about. Even most online only relationships meet via camera. It was a dead giveaway that something was wrong when that didn't happen.
It is really cruel to do this to someone. It seems pretty cut and dry. I think too much time was spent on this because he was a football player. He's a nice guy and will certainly be fine going forward. I think it is just dragging it out to dwell on it.
I think the reason the victim gets blamed in this case, is because his supporters feel lied to as well. He never should have called someone he never saw, his girlfriend. I feel like it is a bit of a lie to call a person you have never seen on video or in person your girlfriend. Most people think you would spend actual time with the person to be that close. So, I think that is why I don't really feel sorry for him. If he said my friend died. I could sympathize with that a lot more. I hope he didn't pass up a real relationship for this nonsense. It actually makes me think he has some issues to choose to call this love. It shows no real sound judgement. I would not trust this guy to water my plants. He is simply not that smart. The catfisher is a lost cause too. They need a hobby or something. To spend all that time messing with someone's head is bizarre.
