Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
Taste has so much deteriorated in past decade
This has to be THE WORST acting and THE WORST script and the WORST casting i have seen anywhere in a while. Even the last Airbender film had better effort than this. Am i watching the same thing as the people who have rated it 9 and even 10 here? Modern media is a on a constant downward slope ever since technology made things easy for us. This is eye candy. All their attention went to cgi, costumes, pretty colors and of course *cool* camera zoom ins i e. How after every supposed moment the camera stays at the gawking dumb faces of some character for a few seconds until it focuses on the source of this amazement. Its just sad that people can form a positive opinion about these things. Laziness produced by easy life leads to poor taste in art.
The Last of Us: Left Behind (2023)
8.6 ? Your hopes seem unrealistic now
They did the DLC in 50 minutes. The 2 hour of gameplay depending on the player's temperament was managed to be depicted on screen in 50 minutes and they pulled off every scene of consequence very beautifully. I don't get the ratings. What is the Problem here? If they followed through every detail it would've taken hours more and i don't think that could be executed on screen anyways. I cannot attribute this lack of judgement to mere homophobia, the way they introduced Riley and made her engage with ellie is no way worse off than the original dlc, since its exactly the same i guess? I want to know what the haters think about this episode but there are no reviews here. The nostalgia was sated in every way, it was a job well done. The director should also be commended i can't imagine how they managed to pull this off.
Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022)
Zefir the genius
So one of those wishes, or more reasonably the sole wish couldn't be 'emancipate the general lot of women from religio-fascist tyranny?' well that would most certainly have freed not just the humane half of humanity but all of it. A genius would have the imagination to see such a world as Nietzsche said 'the genius is ahead of the epoch they're born into'.
The wish she actually made would have been nevertheless completed by the proposed wish. That is; her admittance to education as a person not as chattle of some old man, would have gotten her the renown her genius demanded and consequently would have effected the great portion of humanity.
House of the Dragon (2022)
What i expected
"Of all difficulties which impede the progress of thought, and the formation of well-grounded opinions on life and social arrangements, the greatest is now the unspeakable ignorance and inattention of mankind in respect to the influences which form human character." (J. S Mill)
Children will watch this because of cool battles and cool dragons, it is easy to get it online without paying.
Boys will make misogynistic memes and girls will laugh at them with them. The realm had never seen a female ruler, the realm had never experienced a female ruler, yet the realm did not want a female ruler despite all the wars, rape and dismemberment of bodies and ethics the realms of men proved to experience. The serverly irrational dehumanization of women, which women take part in, bequeathing the slavery unto their daughters after being made a human chattle themselves by systemized, traditionalist philosophy of men. Rhaenyra said "when i am queen i would make new rules." To the old queen "men will put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the iron throne" speaks alot about our history. "Violently they (men) hate the discerning ones" (Nietzsche). This series like thrones will be to some extend realistic, just as the real world history which constructed women was flawed, this one is too. But children and teens should not be able to watch this stuff easily (being *the influences which form the subsequent character, which is always negative). There is no parental permission required, just like pornographic sites you just have to lie you're of age. Please keep this away from your children. And understand "the ruler must have a sound mind, a cock is not necessary (Alyssane)". Even male authors can feel the real spirit of feminity, in their unconscious contrasts and antithesises of masculinity.
Prey (2022)
Beautiful
This was way better than any other film of this category that has been lately released. Way better than that cringeworthy b.s Jurassic park which still manages to make the charts.
The Last Kingdom: Episode #5.10 (2022)
Sons of your sons
I know to expect whilst watching a tv series based on historical events extremest forms of misogyny. Son of and sons of were not birthed by fathers Sons are not daughters. The way this line was spoken and received was extremely degrading towards women, and written by a woman makes it all the more disgusting. This one line negated women who helped greatly along the way down to obscurity of abysses, not acknowledging Their deeds. Pay attention to the language even when watching for casual entertainment. This is what your daughters are exposed to today. Effects of rhese influences on their mental health are profound.
The Boys: The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies (2022)
Ridicule, humor
Loving the free flow of humor on islam, muhammed. Starr makes it so Original and its great. Keep at it. Make people comfortable in the long term by making them used to it via television it'll help promote the general take on free speech if everyone is able to laugh.
Atlanta: New Jazz (2022)
Hurling a baby ?
Why is this even allowed on mainstream. Probably the most disturbing thing I've seen lately.
(Not a criticism of the episode itself, which was quite good)
WrestleMania 38 (2022)
Undoing lesnar
I cant believe how much time i waste for this childish facade.
What a naive pageant. A few suplexes few superman punches and spears and it's done?
There weren't fans calling it 'the greatest match in history' ir was the company itself. Who the hell sits down writes this and gets paid?
Pathetic play.
Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019)
Childern that know a language
Reading all the nonsensical negative views clarfies my view about young audience of the 21st century, hell change the director's name to martin scorsese or ridley Scott and those comments would ultimately vanish.
This reminded me of eric rohmer and bergman in weird ways. This was one of the 21st century classics.
