Charlie (2022)
Impressive psychological drama!
A great combination of factors made this movie grab me from the start. The positioning of the camera and the decision of the shots are very interesting. It's like the camera shows us what's inside Charlie's head.
I am very impressed with Alec's work and how he manages to connect all the necessary elements to have a successful film.
Music also plays a crucial role, very important within the psychology of this story.
I liked the decision to leave the camera still for a significant amount of time without any action to immerse us in the events going through the main character's head.
There is an outstanding job by Director Alec Ybarra, and this reflects in the actors' solid performances.
A highly recommended movie.

The Berlin Bride (2019)
The force of art cinema
I have no words to describe this fascinating work of art that takes place in Berlin in the 1980s.
With the force of the purest art cinema, ''The Berlin Bride'' captivates and steals your attention from beginning to end without letting you breathe or think about anything other than the fascinating images your brain is receiving.
The camera travels beautifully, visiting two characters so different from each other that the only thing that unites them is this psychological ghost that Michael Bartlett has given life to in this story that unfolds in a parallel universe.
It is a film that says a lot with very little dialogue and takes you on a mental journey that is very difficult to describe.
The presence of music is powerful and plays a crucial role as one of the main characters in this story.
Great job by the director fascinatingly connecting all the cinema pieces, achieving the emotions and feelings necessary to transport the viewer through this work of art that continues in your head even though the movie has ended.
Killer Concept (2021)
There is a lot to like about this movie.
First of all, the camera work is fantastic, and the music is on point. Not your average serial killer movie. This one comes from a different and exciting perspective. All actors do a great job, but Mark's character is outstanding, played by who also happens to be the director (Glenn Payne).
It is very nice to find independent projects of such quality and talented people. The story has many surprises, which I won't talk about, but expect the unexpected from start to finish.
I highly recommend it!

AVA: A Twist in the Road (2021)
A twist that leads us to discover a woman who reinvents herself.
First of all, I would like to highlight the impressive naturalness of Catherane Skillen's outstanding performance, which carries the entire film. I was delighted to discover that she is also the director and writer of this movie. She has an interesting way of conveying ideas through characters and dialogue.
A Beverly Hills story with a strong message at the end.

The Misadventures of Mistress Maneater (2020)
Dynamic, funny, and romantically unpredictable.
An exciting balance between comedy and romance with a clever Balkan touch that enriches the story.
Good cast and directing work! All characters are in tune and perfectly suited to the circumstances.
Important to highlight the excellent work done by Lorrisa Julianus (Mistress Maneater), who stars in this film and perfectly executes a character that elegantly maintains strength and presence at all times. A comedy to enjoy accompanied by someone special, The plot remains strong throughout the movie, entertaining you from start to finish.
