Faits divers, l'Histoire à la une (2021)
Thoughtful and Fair
Crimes That Made History is one of the most phenomenal and thought-provoking documentaries I have ever had the pleasure of watching.
Not only does it provide a holistic and insightful perspective on famous crimes, it also examines meaningful themes such as the role of the media and Atrocity Making during times of unrest.
Not nearly enough crime shows make use of sociologists and historians when analyzing the impact of criminal behavior and social deviance on both the individual and the collective.
Rather then branding the perpetrators of these crimes as evil, this program takes a constructive look at evil actions in order to help it's viewers obtain a better understanding of what makes people commit such heinous acts without excusing the accused of their behavior. Performing the difficult task of balancing free-will and accountability with circumstances and understanding.
In a world that is getting progressively more and more polarized, it is TV shows such as this one that reminds us how even black and white are shades of grey.
