How Dogs Got Their Shapes (2016)
Border Collies
Big miss. My Border Collie loves this show. He even barks at his favorites each time. But sadly his breed is not mentioned. Maybe we will find a show for the smartest dog breeds on the planet. We have owned several breeds throughout my lifetime. At home growing up.... As a single.... And with my own family. I have grown to love quite a few breeds, but seriously the Border Collie has been my favorite. On all points. We were worried about getting one because I read they need a lot of exercise/outdoors. And I am not that athletic. But what it should say is they need to be stimulated. There is not a dog puzzle he cannot solve. He has his favorite athlete and watches sports from beginning to end. He plays frisbee, soccer, volleyball, football, and yes his favorite basketball. We got him a toddler size hoop to start. He is fun, alert, super smart, and a great companion. He herds the geese by our lake. But this breed doesn't require a person of high energy. Just a person that stimulates him. A good amount of toys and puzzles will keep him busy. I can throw balls and frisbees from my deck all day for him. For exercise we also do parks/dog parks. Wish this show would have mentioned the Collie. But I guess it was not a show about the their brains! Although they are quite skilled with agility and can jump super high to catch a frisbee.
