A superb docudrama about the events that led up to 4 students being killed on an American college campus
20 April 2016
A terrific television movie that deserved the Emmy the director received for best director of the year. Spellbinding and wonderfully acted by a young cast of unknowns, this movie takes us back to 1971 and the impact the Vietnam war was having on college campuses across the country. The war is raging on and many students have had enough of it and are leading protests across college campus. We follow the lives of the 4 students that are killed on the campus on that fateful day of May 4, 1971. The irony of the film is that none of the 4 were radical students and they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time that day. We also follow the days leading up to the tragedy through the eyes of the professors, politicians, police and young ROTC men. This should be a must see film for high school students studying the Vietnam war as the deaths of the 4 students and many wounded turned the tide of public opinion against the war in America.

Spectacular docudrama highlighting one of the most famous trials of the 20th century
20 April 2016
Spectacular docudrama that highlights one of the most famous trials of the 20th century. The usage of the split screen and seeing the real defendants commenting on the trial as the actors are playing their parts is so innovative and amazing. The real Abbie Hoffman is as always so entertaining and a larger than life figure. So sad to know he killed himself a few years after he was filmed for this movie. Also the use of real stock footage is interspersed throughout and adds a layer of reality and mounting tension during the trial. Tremendous performances led by David Opatashu as the judge and a terrific cast of riveting actors makes this a must see television movie.

Tarzan is Evergreen and Everlasting! Loved it!
29 May 2013
Enjoyed watching Tarzan in Manhattan and I think Joe Lara is so gorgeous I could watch him forever!

I loved the moment with Tarzan and Cheetah together...hilarious...

Action, Adventure, Romance, Animals, lots of humor, this TV movie has it all!!

Great locations and Tarzan on the bus on top of Times Square is wonderful.

The photography is terrific and the sets are super and I loved the fancy house they used for the Brightmore mansion.

A definite thumbs up to this family film once again proving that Tarzan is Evergreen and Everlasting!!

Fun scary movie with great twist ending
6 January 2010
This movie is a lot of fun, interesting, great twist ending and scary. Robert Carradine is very good as always. Shayne Lamas is great to look at! Set in a bowling alley, the camera work is excellent and gives the movie a cool look. I also thought the music was terrific and added mood and texture to the movie. All the young actors do a very good job in the film. The bowling alley was an interesting location for a film and comes across very creepy when it needs to be. All in all, it is a well done teen film that delivers a good cast, a good story and good production value. What more can you ask for after seeing so many bad films this year. I think Shayne Lamas has a bright future ahead as she can act and is a beautiful girl.

Loved this series
19 October 2009
The jungle is awesome in this series as are all the animals. Jane is a gorgeous and Tarzan is a hunk...Action is fun and they even tried to make this a "green" show ahead of its time. Nice messages about not spoiling and polluting our world and a great family series! Guest stars were wonderful and it was especially fun to see Ron Ely, one of the previous television series Tarzan's make a guest star appearance in the series. Also fun to see Adrian Paul (star of the Highlander series)as a villainous guest star in 2 episodes. The young actor who played Roger (Sean Roberge) was very good and his interaction with Tarzan and Jane was terrific. Wish there were more great family series like this one on the air today.

Tarzan: The Epic Adventures (1996 TV Movie)

Joe Lara is a perfect Tarzan.
18 March 2006
I love this series. It was shot in South Africa and the locations really look authentic. They used the Burroughs books and the episodes followed the books plot lines and take Tarzan into science fiction adventures. Joe Lara is an amazing Tarzan. He is so handsome and so wild looking!!

The women on the series are all beautiful. The photography is really lush. The music is original and great. I loved the wardrobe on all the cast members. It seems very authentic on the Africans and then it gets very whimsical for all the other worlds where Tarzan travels. I can't wait for the series to go on DVD so I can tell all my friends about it.

Terrific writing and acting in this film!
16 July 2003
What a terrific movie. I thought the writing and acting were superb. The lead character's story is poignant. Prostitution has rarely been portrayed on the screen in such an honest and gripping manner. The actors were terrific, and the director set the mood very well. Kudos to all.

gorgeous tarzan and fabulous locations!
15 April 2003
I really liked this Tarzan series and didn't understand why it didn't last longer. Joe Lara is really a great Tarzan. He has a real animal quality and he is the most authentic looking Tarzan yet. The locations are amazing and they really attempted to stick to the fantasy of the Tarzan books. I wish it had stayed around longer as it would have been a real winner!

undoubtedly the best film of 2002
5 December 2002
My congratulations to the filmmakers. Frida renews my faith in the

ability of film to touch all of one's senses. It is a feast for the

eyes and simply put, a dazzling achievement. The richness of the colors

and the artistry was astonishing. The performances were flawless and

all the technical work fantastic. I haven't enjoyed a film this much

for years and my hat is off to Julie and Salma for bringing this amazing

work to the screen. You are truly ar

a great love story
13 November 2002
I really enjoyed this love story. Sydney, Australia is beautiful as is Cheryl Ladd. The story of a man's one time infidelity and the painful price he must pay for it are well handled. His wife's pain and forgiveness are handled in a mature and realistic manner. I loved the gorgeous country sequences in the last part of the film and also enjoyed Robert Coleby, the actor who played Cheryl's husband very much. All in all, this was a beautiful Danielle Steel story of love won and lost and won

gorgeous tarzan and gorgeous locations
6 February 2002
I really liked this Tarzan series because it attempts to use the science fiction Tarzan from the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels. Joe Lara is a fantastic Tarzan and the most gorgeous guy in the world! He seems to understand the loneliness and solitude of portraying Tarzan and that is refreshing. All the technical credits are cool including the photography, locations, design and music. I really enjoyed the episodes where Tarzan is forced to survive the elements in whatever world he has been taken to. I also loved the science fiction characters in many of the episodes which are not overdone but feel almost realistic in a fantasy world. I wish the series could lasted longer as it was a breath of fresh air in the often dry jungle of television!!

A well made attempt at showing us the Tarzan from the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels.
26 January 2002
I really enjoyed this series and wish it would have lasted longer on television. Joe Lara is a terrific Tarzan as he was in the television movie, Tarzan in Manhattan. It was nice to see a Tarzan series actually filmed in Africa instead of on a studio back lot. The series attempted to show us the Tarzan from the books that was a time traveler and existed in a science fiction world. I loved the photography and the music as well. I hope this series will return to television

Alot of action and Alison Armitage, what more can I wish for!
7 October 2001
I really liked this show because it has Alison Armitage in it. She is terrific looking and an ex playmate and can fight too. The action is alot of fun even though some of the stories are weak. But who cares when you can watch Alison for an hour. I miss the show and hope it will be rerun soon.

great action and look for television
7 October 2001
I found the series to be very good for television. It has great action sequences and Ralf Moeller is a great Conan. I am sorry it didn't continue because I really liked all the characters, especially TJ Storm as the black warrior. The music also is terrific and very authentic sounding for a fantasy period of time.

a great adventure tv movie
7 October 2001
I loved this movie. It is really well cast with Cliff Robertson playing the real Mel Fisher. The underwater scenes for television are terrific. I love the music and the boat tipping over sequence is great. Also great is a speech Mel makes about the liberties we have in America which we can't have taken away from us. Go Mel, I agree with you and think you are a great American.
