Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (1998)
I absolutely love this weird game
This game is one of my very favourite games from my childhood. This is going to be a very subjective review and I know that without the nostalgia, I wouldn't find this game to be as good as I do now.
But the music, the sound effects, the art style and the colours, all of those aspects of the game combined will make for one hell of a unique experience. The vibe/atmosphere this game has is just so cool for me, it feels so retro, vibrant and old style. It's hard to describe but it's just great.
Looking at it now, I can definitely see the game sometimes lacks good level design and repeats many parts of certain levels and what not, but then again, that's the case with many games from the 90s.
Regardless, this game feels extremely nostalgic and magical for me, I get this special feeling every time I think about it and I love it.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Retrospective (2022)
My FAVOURITE episode of Attack on Titan so far
This episode has just been pretty much flawless. Even though MAPPA struggle with using 2D Titans due to unfortunate circumstances out of their control, they still managed to pull off 2D Annie for quite a few scenes, and same with Reiner as well. The music was on point, I absolutely LOVE the gore in this episode and how it's accompanied by the slashing sound effects. The sequence with Floch avoiding Falco, Hange and Pieck is probbaly the best they have done so far, I love it. The animation overall has been extremely phenomenal and knowing all of the obstacles that MAPPA Studio had to face when making Attack on Titan season 4 makes this all the more impressive (Less time, Covid issues, working on 3 other animes simultaneously). In addition, the voice acting was superb as it always is in this anime. This is by far 100% my favourite episode so far in all of AoT, and I'd like to say that it is in the top 10 best episodes, maybe even higher. Season 4 has been a masterpiece so far.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Memories of the Future (2022)
MAPPA is doing a great job
As a manga reader, I have to say that this has been animated beatifully. Seeing these scenes come to life is just magical - this whole episode in general has been magical. The animation, voice acting, plot twists, how it has been directed, the music, etc. It was absolutely phenomenal and I am proud to say that there is even more crazy stuff waiting to happen.
In short, fantastic episode, as always.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Sneak Attack (2022)
PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW
For everyone saying the pacing is bad/slow, let me remind you of something. After season 4 part 2 is finished, there will be a movie for the last 8/9 chapters of the manga. A movie just like Demon Slayer Mugen Train which was made for the Mugen Train arc of the story. This is what MAPPA will do after the 12 episodes of season 4 part 2 are finished, which means that the pacing isn't horrible/bad as some of you might believe. Anyway, this episode was absolutely phenomenal and I LOVE how the animation is improving. Keep up the outstanding work MAPPA.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Judgment (2022)
Absolutely wonderful, a great starting episode to a new arc
The quality of this episode is a 10/10. Everything is done amazingly and once again, just like all other 85 episodes of this show, it was EXTREMELY fun to watch. Considering the fact that the animation studio who made season 4 for AoT (MAPPA Studio) had not as much time as they would have liked to have, had covid issues which slowed down some preccesses, had some minor staff issues, and also had to work on THREE/FOUR other animes at the same time as when AoT season 4 was in production, they did extremely well. The animation is absolutely fantastic and although the CGI isn't perfect, it's still VERY great and even better when you consider everything I've said. In short, this is peak fiction and it definitely deserves a 10/10 rating.
