The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024)
He's back baby!
Seeing Rick again, was like seeing a rare bird! It felt like I was watching the OG walking dead again, before Rick left and damn it was good! It has all the action, we have come to expect from the series. But what we haven't seen for so long is the incredible acting of Andrew Lincoln. He just makes the show. Let's be honest, there is no WD without Rick Grimes and it's so good to finally have him back. Also what a killer first episode ending. I literally got goose bumps and can't wait for episode 2. This is gonna be a looong week. But at least we all have something to look forward to...Well done!
I Can See Your Voice (2020)
Refreshing and so damn funny!
What a great show! Dr Ken is an awesome host who is just naturally funny. You wait with baited breath in each round. It's tense, it's very funny all round and super exciting. Even the celebrity panel who change each week are great. The songs are amazing. All popular songs and each singer whether they can sing or not, are very convincing. I absolutely love this show! I have started at season one and already watched 5 episodes and each one seems to be better than the next. I'm literally on the edge of my seat each round. What a clever concept. People compare this to the masked singer. I hated the masked singer and cannot sit through it. But this is just awesome!
Citadel (2023)
An exciting new spy thriller
With only two episodes out, it's difficult to judge how the entire series will unfold. But, episode one was strong enough to leave you wanting more. I still see Richard Madden as ikarus (from Eternals, which was difficult then as I could only see him as Rob Stark from GOT) but he's great in this role. The focus of the first episode is more on him and I'm hoping we get to see his backstory (and hers) more with each episode. So far so good. Priyanka Chopra is beautiful and commands every scene she is in. They have a good chemistry together and there are some banger action scenes. What more could we ask for? Maybe a higher PG rating (haha)
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)
A thoroughly enjoyable marvel movie. Don't listen to the hate!
Marvel Studios know how to create ultimate fantasy and this Ant-man movie doesn't disappoint. Action starts within the first 15 minutes and you are immediately transported into a world of chaos and wonder. They introduce new characters which are comic book accurate and Kang as a villain is incredible. He is in enough of the movie to keep you wanting more and a great villain set up for further plot lines.
Don't listen to the hate! With so much rubbish on Television, we need more of escapes like this. Creativity at its best.
It's easy to criticise for the sake of finding flaws. Ant-man may not be the most popular super hero, but he has earned his place in the MCU.
Well done Marvel!
The Patient (2022)
Absolutely brilliant!
It so refreshing to see something gripping, exciting and get you longing for each episode each week. The don't come soon enough! Both Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson are brilliant. Alan and Sam have a complex relationship and the series reminds me a bit of "in treatment" with Gabriel Byrne but is better. The show is tense and interesting and enough twists to leave you wanting more each week. I am 9 episodes in with just one more to go. Sure the episodes start at 20 min each week but slowing build up to 40 min after a few episodes in. I really hope there is a season 2. One of the best shows I've seen in 2022!
The Terminal List (2022)
Great story and superb acting
This is Chris Pratt at his best! He is brilliant in this role. A deep story line at let's the viewer identify with the main character. Is he behaving rationally? No. But would you do the same thing as him? Yes. Really can't wait for another season.
From (2022)
So Frikking Good! Wow
I am a big fan of Lost so when I heard about this series I was stoked from the get go. The cast is awesome, the acting is superb and the story line is engrossing enough to keep you coming back wanting more. It's so good to have a series like this on TV. I haven't seen anything this good since the Witcher. There is so much mystery and intrigue in this series that I find myself (on episode 7) so disappointed that there are only 10 episodes. How can I wait a whole year until season 2??? There are heaps on characters that the story can go in multiple directions and so many questions that the writers won't run out of content any time soon. Well done on a brilliant show.
Under the Banner of Heaven (2022)
Great story! Well told with a cast that doesn't disappoint.
I'm a big Andrew Garfield fan. Can the guy not do anything wrong? Firstly the show is based on a true story (Garfield seems to like to portray many true characters) I Am desperately avoiding googling the real story as I love how invested I am in this show. And secondly, it is a gripping tale that keeps the viewer wanting more. It's fascinating to see how LDS religions operate in a small American town. It is in no way a show that annoys or irritates the viewer with the characters religious beliefs. We are able to sympathise with his anguish and even if parts are exaggerated or not, who cares, just enjoy the journey. We are only 3 episodes in and I cannot wait a whole week for the next one.
Moon Knight: The Goldfish Problem (2022)
Very different. In a good way
I have watched the first episode twice. Once on my own and once with my children. Loving the direction this heading in and can't wait for episode two. Oscar is a great lead, ever since I first saw him in x-men as Apocalypse. I love seeing an origin story as Marvels characters have such substance that it's great to learn about newer characters. The story is very entertaining and gripping enough to leave you wanting more. Well done marvel, you haven't disappointed yet.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Phenomenal. End Game Status!
I'm a big fan of Marvel so it comes as no surprise that I'd like this movie even before seeing it. But I felt it really lived up to the hype. It's ultimate fantasy. The story is really strong and as usual we get swept away into a world of impossible possibilities. 2.5 hours fly by and before you know it, you come to realise it's the final battle and soon all will be over, leaving you wanting more!
The acting is superb. The special effects are amazing and the characters all live up to their expectations. Marvel and Sony can't lose.
Don't waste time! Go see it now!
