Le Miracle du Saint Inconnu (2019)
Gives foreign films a bad name.
SPOILERS: This depressing, boring, sad movie has virtually no redeeming qualities. The quality of the acting may be its only bright spot. The writer could have done so much more with what was supposed to be a comedy based on a plot involving buried stolen loot now hidden by a shrine built on top of its location. My girlfriend and I decided to walk out shortly after the dog was injured.
Law & Order: Cry Wolf (2004)
What great acting and lines!
A character, Angelo Cimenetti (sp?), one of the two wise-guys hired to kill Christoff, had me in stitches! After cutting a deal with McCoy, he relates the story of how the hit he was hired to pull off came apart at the seams. McCoy asks him, "What went wrong?" and he replies, "What didn't?" in a manner as if he was talking about a birthday party gag that went awry. His storytelling of the woeful hit is so colorful that McCoy has to try not to seem amused; he fails.
Then when the same character is on the stand being grilled by the attorney for the mob boss he's testifying against, he's asked to confirm, "You tried your best to kill him," and he shrugs with a goofy grin, "It didn't work out", as if he was describing the circumstances surrounding a blind date his friend had set him up on that "didn't work out." Hilarious!
Eight Below (2006)
This movie was Terrible (Spoilers)
While not as eloquent, I just need to echo Footmaiden above who said how painful it was to watch this movie. My girlfriend and I went with our mothers and we both agreed, had they not been with us we would have walked out 1/2 through. As a dog lover, I was so upset I had a headache and was left wondering how Disney could market this trash to kids.
I don't know what was worse, watching and wondering which dog was going to die next or having to watch a scientist (whose life was saved by this courageous group of dogs yet who wouldn't lift a finger to try and find them when they were lost) made into a hero by finally coming to aid of their owner to help search for them. Oh...forget about the fact two dogs were already dead by the time his ambitions were satisfied and he stopped to think about the dogs that had saved his life. Yeeech. What a terrible movie.
