Devil in Ohio (2022)
Well acted but with a story that falls flat
The mystery about Mae is quickly revealed and we almost have all the answers 30% into the story. It also felt like the writers couldn't decide what genre to go for. In the two first eps you kinda suspect it might be a supernatural plot, but after episode 3 it becomes a thriller... almost? It isn't thrilling enough nor is it mysterious enough or exciting enough and the character devolopment is lackluster. And in the end it turns into a soap drama we didn't need or ask for. The whole thing feels badly planned and almost like the creators just came up with stuff on the whim. The twist in the end is a little bit cool tho :)
This series is all over the place. Story gets a 2/10. Script gets a 1.5/10. Acting gets an 8/10 and carries the entire thing.
House of the Dragon: The Heirs of the Dragon (2022)
Great pilot.
Introduced the characters in a satisfying way, I liked the dynamic between the Targaeryan family and I have to; Rhys Ifans is absolutely killing it in his role as Otto Hightower! He felt really genuine and I completely feel like hes catching the role as an inhabitant of Westeros.
I hope they will move slowly with the story and focus on writing thoroughly moving forward. Can't wait for more!
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab (2022)
Didn't think any season after the first could be a contender for the best one yet!
All I have to say is, WOW! Epic, epic, epic writing on this season. Just a breath of fresh air. It manages to capture the mystery from season one even though you kinda already know the gig. Didn't think it was possible to pull off. Stranger Things is back on the menu, boys!
Pørni (2021)
Great writing
Its hilarious, awkward and gut wrenchingely sad, and the show manages to send you through those emotions in span of 30 minutes EVERY episode! You fall in love with the characters immediately. Really good so far!
