The Revenge of Wii Play 2: World War Wii (2024)
instant hood classic
Probably the best Triesverse film?? I'm not sure yet as I need a little more time to decide, but this sure was a whole barrel of laughs. And emotional in places? Kind of?
Bringing back Alex Tries, only to have him fight Jayden Tries, to then be stopped by ANOTHER Tries (Sydney) was very neat to see. The three had some really good chemistry, you can always see in these films that these guys are good friends IRL.
Wii Play being back in full force was dope. Best villain of the Triesverse, no contest. Also - Doctor Who?? Just... turning up? What??? No complaints, I've seen the follow up Doctor Who short film and really enjoyed John's portrayal of the character. I could see him being in the real show!
Only slightly confusing thing was the multiverse scene. It was SO cool to see (what I believe to be) Jayden's films from when he was younger be implied to take place in the multiverse, but I can't tell if this meant anything for the future. There were certainly hints there that that scene might be important later on.
Overall a great film with a hilarious cast (Ethan, Alexia and Harry's dynamic was so much fun) and can't wait to see where this leads.
Jayden Tries 2: Save the World Again (2020)
Great!
Just saw this in my local church. Usually in these contests we see something bland and boring, but this had us all creasing.
It's SO obvious to me that this was made as a joke, and it nailed it. From the intro scene to the end of the grave scene - ill be honest - i was SERIOUSLY worried that this was just a bad short movie like most of the ones we see. But the minute I heard Evil Jayden's 'HA, HA!', I knew it was gonna be great.
I've never actually seen the original film. I know nothing about it. All i do know is that this had us roaring, and I'm glad that we should be seeing more from Jayden. Loved it.
