The Simpsons Movie (2007)
Excellent!
I really think that this was an awesome movie! I admit, the story was a bit weak, but the story wasn't really important for the movie. I was laughing my head off throughout the entire movie, and found it extremely well written! The Simpsons have done it again! I walked in expecting a great movie, and I got one! It was awesome! Everybody in the theater was LTAO (laughing their @?%!& off). From when Homer comments on the Itchy and Scratchy movie ("I can't believe we have to pay for a movie based on a show that we can watch on television for free!"), to when Homer thrusts a bomb out of the dome that covers Springfield. It's definitely worth it!Watch it!
The Simpsons (1989)
This may be the best show on Television.
This is definitely the best ANIMATED show on television. I have been a Simpsons fan for a long time, and over the years it has been going downhill, but recently its been really funny! I think that this is best for people who LOVE SEEING GREAT COMEDY AT WORK! Matt Groening is one of the funniest TV people ever (though I should be fair, a lot of the Simpsons is the writers, if not most of it). For those who don't know, it's about a dysfunctional family living in a town called Springfield (the state is unknown!!!!). There's Homer, the dimwitted father working at the Nuclear Powerplant. Then there's Marge, the housewife who is the classic mom. There's Bart, the spiky haired hell-raiser who has a knack for getting in trouble. There's Lisa, the intellectual middle child who plays the Saxaphone and is the smartest one in the family. Then finally there's Maggie, the baby that only talks in sucks on her pacifier. All in all, each episode includes their many misadventures including a meteor hitting the earth, and Homer causing Y2K. Bottom line, totally funny!
South Park (1997)
Hilarious and witty
I got into South Park last year, and I didn't know what I was getting into when I saw the first episode. I will say this plain and simple; South Park is one of the smartest shows on television right now. I suggest it to everyone who likes Family Guy, The Simpsons, Team America (made by the same guys, by the way) rolled into one. Matt Stone and Trey Parker have created a masterpiece. South Park is the story of 4 boys, Stan Marsh (the almost-regular boy who has a crush on pretty girl Wendy Testaburger), Kyle Broflofski (Stan's best friend, who is sometimes picked on for being Jewish), Eric Cartman (the fat racist mean boy who for some reason is able to be slightly befriended by the other three), and Kenny McKormick (the poor kid who always wears a hoody, so you can't see his face, also he dies in every episode). The show consists of the gang going on a bunch of misadventures that range from being chased down by a 200-ft mechanical Barbara Streisand to shooting terrorists with Jesus. Bottom Line: South Park is smart, funny, stupid, and spine-tingling. The show is on at about 7 on Comedy Central. WARNING: not suitable for kids under about 13.
