The Changeling (2023)
Only for the Actors!
The Actors did a great job all around!! So it's not fun to review this in saying, wtf was this story? It kept me watching because I wanted to figure out what this was all about, but each episode left me not so intrigued. The ending was annoying disappointing, it lead nowhere for me. All that nothingness. I wouldn't be interested in seeing season 2 if there was one. I get trying to be artistic in writing films or TV shows, but this was boring all around and a little forced with trying to be creative and unique. I wish the story was better with what the cinematography elements delivered. I love mystery so I stuck with the trying to "GET TO THE POINT!" aspect of it. But a bit annoyed with the journey into uninteresting nowhere land.
Average Joe (2023)
Really fun to watch!!!!!!!
This is a breath of fresh air!!! This show is solid, with great writing, acting, atmosphere and more. So many interesting elements- suspense, comedy, mystery. I am only going it a 7 to start because I haven't finished it yet, but I'm thinking I'm coming back to rate higher. I hope more show can evolve like this one on BET. This is HBO level! Keep this one going!!! I'm here for all of it! Love all the actors from the leads to the one liners! Every actor is solid on here! I like how this starts and develops. I wasn't expecting any of this. Deon Cole is layered. The other leads are good veterans as well. Been watching them and glad to see this hopeful successful show continue.
American Horror Story: Multiply Thy Pain (2023)
I want More Kim Surprisingly!
We will see where this road leads but it's refreshing to see Kim K not in reality. It's her time to try something new and I would want her in my script to for anything stylized. I hope hope she explores her scripts further and does more acting. She's matured and I want more of her.
I hate spiders. So yeah.
But we are back on American Horror Story track. Let's go! Horror fan ready for more!!
Emma! Get it! I want more.
Let's stick to Scary, creepy stories. Let's do some style. Let's see the directors, writers and actors shine again! Let's have nightmares and cringe. But no Spiders!! Lol. No spiders again please. Ok I'm done unless IMDb says I need more words.
Smile (2022)
Um..... This was lacking...
I'm honestly not understanding how these reviews came out liking this film. To each is own though. I'm a long time horror fan. No to this one. Boring. Uninteresting. Not interested in the shaky lead or her counterparts. Predictable. Slow. Not scary. Not suspenseful. Nothing....
To try and find this film at all intriguing would just be reaching, very very deeply, into emptiness.
The end is the quick peak and that's was all whoever wrote this, wrote. Raise the bar. Not sure how people liked this one. I wanted to, but I simply didn't.
It began with an interesting premise. There was a reveal but it was not shocking. I'm line with movies prior, maybe closer to It Follows. Meh.. Meh.
Seuwiteuhom (2020)
Kept me entertained but near the end, starts to lag
It was an interesting and entertaining watch.
Especially looking for some monster feature style fun.
I did start to lose who everyone was though near the middle or when the main character cut his hair. It was chaotic, but that's part of the story action. The last episodes lagged due to the characters standing there for long periods of time staring at something for what seemed like forever, which seats to be comedic, then becomes boring, then a little annoying. But still interesting nonetheless. I would say, especially if you like horror like me, it's worth checking it out.
Also Korean shows and movies are pretty entertaining and have interesting premises. I've been a fan of Korean TV/Film for a long time. It's getting better and better, especially in the horror genre.
This Fool (2022)
Authentic LOL
This is a funny show!! Kind of reminds me of Atlanta. But LA authentic. Intense moments but in a funny way. And even the side antics are funny. Hope they keep it going! I want to see consistency. Like like like.
Versailles (2015)
Where's the French in Versailles???
I just started this, but it is hard to fully embrace, because I'm confused what it's about. Where's the French? No French accents at least? It just felt like British period piece. I was I little confused because it didn't feel French, but I will try and finish???
