Stargate: Atlantis: McKay and Mrs. Miller (2006)
A quintessential Mary Sue story
My least favorite SG:A episode thus far.
A new character arrives on scene, having developed a complex theoretical physics proof inspired merely by obersving a child play with a train set. She gets whisked away to the most top secret locations in the known galaxy, proving all the while that she's smarter than established characters with vastly more experience. As expected, she's lauded & liked by everyone she meets even while undermining & betraying the trust of established characters. The episode attempts a half hearted reversal of the undermining that was done throughout the episode, but it is forced and inauthentic.
I understand what they were trying to do with Rodney here, but it was lousy and didn't show the character progression in a satisfying way.
