Not bad,but then again not brillent.Very low budget could have been rather interesting but fails on many levels.Worth a look if your desperate for something to watch on a Sunday afternoon when the football is on.Hang on delete that last line I think I'd rather sit through the football at least it has a bit of realistic action in it.

This is really bad!Even for a tv movie,why is James Belushi getting star billing and on the front cover?He is in the film for like about 7 minutes total and on the front cover he is in a prison,he is actually in a prison for about 1 minute of the film.This is a blatant marketing scam to get people watching it because of James Belushi in it.The film itself is awfull even though I paid £5 for it.The one good thing about it is the leading lady who is very attractive,AVOID.

NOT A BAD LITTLE LOW BUDGET SCI-FI FILM

The special effects when they come are handled well enough when they finaly come.The acting is very poor and in places makes you cringe.The idea is kinda like Demolition Man crossed with Blade Runner.Its not the worst sci-fi low budget movie out there,could have been much better if handled with a bit of care.Id give it 5/10.

I love this film to bits,why cant it be released on dvd?Michael Mann get your finger out and sort it man :) The film is quite rare on VHS as it is,it was shown once to my knowledge here on BBC2.You never know they may show it again and if they do make sure you watch it because for the time it was made 1983/4 its very atmospheric.Great performances by all,this film genuinely creeps you out if you watch it for the first time in the dark by yourself!You have been warned.

They Live (1988)

THEY LIVE AND THEY ARE HERE!

One of my all time favourite films,its a low budget movie but John Carpenter's direction is never boring.I think this movie deserves more credit than it gets,most people have never heard of it.Id recommend this to anyone who loves sci-fi themed movies.I wish they would do a sequal to this as I think there is quite a lot more they can do with this film now as special effects have moved on dramaticaly since this film was made.The ending just leaves you wanting more. An excellent underrated clasic sci-fi movie from the master John Carpenter.
