It disappoints me to see a review of this show which proclaims an inability to understand its humor. Perhaps such a reviewer is simply slow, or perhaps he/she has not taken the time to truly appreciate the unique and complex storylines woven into each half hour of this program. Whatever the case, this show is truly the funniest show of all time. Whether you like or dislike the actors, each story is creative and daring. How can anyone not appreciate Jerry's perpetual phobia about germs and dirt? How can anyone remain stoic when George begins one of his classic rants about ridiculous problems -- particulary his parents? How can anyone even begin to argue that Kramer's eccentricities are not truly the funniest ever seen on non-animated television (a nod to The Simpsons, of course)? And Elaine's dancing? Priceless. Puddy's personality? Hilarious. George's parents? Side-splittingly funny.
This show is re-run anywhere from 3 to 5 times each day in my area, and I can't get enough of it. Whether you've seen The Contest one time or one hundred times, it is ALWAYS funny.
I can appreciate that some people need more time to appreciate this show. It's too bad they don't give it the proper time before writing a negative review. All respect to Jerry and George -- yes, there is something wrong with that.
