Legendary (2020)
Judges RUIN this show
They DID what DIDN'T need to be done! The judges in their self serving, egotistical nonsense absolutely killed the vibe of this show. The self glorification was bad enough but to actually stomp on people of color for being confident and secure in themselves was nauseating and only hurts the community MORE than you help it. Don't even get me started on the JOKE guest judges who proclaim to have knowledge of ballroom like they were really connected back in the day.....when they would have been 12 makes me sick. I'm looking at YOU Tiffany Haddish, no talent poser. Y'all need to focus on the culture and the craft of ballroom and check your ego bs at the door cause you BORING.
We're Here (2020)
Absolutely what we need right now!
In one of the most divisive periods in our nation's history, this show is exactly what we need to remind us what the true power of community is capable of when we come together and lead with respect, unconditional love and acceptance.
This show truly represents the transformative power of drag and as a fan of each of these legendary queens, I'm so proud to see them light up the path for change across the country with charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent! :)
Watching them step into small towns where being gay or even just different is taboo has been so moving. I initially found myself feeling uncomfortable for them when some town residents reject their presence and it made me aware of the power we give to others when we allow their definitions for acceptance to impact us. Seeing the queens walk with their heads held high and empower people in those towns to find their voice and stand in their own power is E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
Drag just might save the world, who knew? Hallelu!
