Maya and the Three (2021)
Not what I was expecting...
Maya and The Three is not the series I was expecting it to be at all. I saw one episode and it was so dark and so serious. I watched it with my brother and mom and all three of us didn't understand this series at all. What I was expecting was a fun, cute, and adventurous series that was aimed for kids, yet kids most likely wouldn't even understand what this series is at all. There was also characters in the show who I didn't even understand were, such as Ah Puch.
It's awesome that they got all the voices that they did though but it's unfortunate I will not be hearing them as I will not continue the series due to not having interest. I would have loved for this to be a fun and exciting kids series. This series does have great representation however.
The Loud House (2021)
Great Movie!
This movie was very great! I love The Loud House and The Casagrandes very much so I very much like this movie! Of course, I would have done very much different though.
This is a big movie of The Loud House so I would have loved to see more classic characters cameo. We saw a very few like Sam but not many others. Also, this could have used more celebrity cameos. They went to Scotland so I expected to hear more Scottish celebrities. I was hoping to hear people like Peter Capaldi, Sheena Easton, Graham McTavish, and more. If those are too big they could've at least gotten people like Graham McTavish, Sam Heughan, Ashley Jensen, Kevin McKidd, and Steve Valentine. Though I am very happy they got David Tennant and Michelle Gomez, as I never expected them to have done The Loud House.
Club Penguin Island (2017)
Such a great but short lived game
I loved this game. It was a massive improvement to Club Penguin. For starters, it had so many aspects and references to the classic Club Penguin. It returned the box dimension, it literally brought back the original games in their 2D form, it had igloos which were a lot alike to designing them in the original Club Penguin, they had jackhammers, buoys, trekkers, and so much more. It even had parties like the original CP.
This game also had incredible amounts of potential. It was constantly growing and it had so many aspects which were unique and I loved. It also had so much to do for non-members, and kept adding more and more for them. Unfortunately, nobody supported this game because they were too close with the original CP which got old in my opinion.
I'd literally do anything for this game back. Club Penguin was my life and this felt like something in my life that was really for me and really compelling. I feel like haven't been the same since Disney had shut down this game. Club Penguin never even had a chance to make this game and it is so sad. I imagine today that this game would be very popular.
Club Penguin (2005)
Can't imagine my life without this game
This game was my childhood, I grew up with this game, played all the way to the end of even Club Penguin Island. This game inspired me, I dedicated my life to this game and I am so thankful for it.
This game had monthly parties that gives not only kids, but everyone something to look forward to every month. I did not notice how special that was until now. Not only that, but they had all kinds of stuff going on at the time during parties. This game lasted an incredible thirteen years as a whole! The team worked incredibly hard on this game and I thank them so much.
I miss this game very much. Thank you everyone who worked for this game, and thank you for my sister who introduced it to me and my brother. It will be remembered for a long time.
It's Pony (2020)
Pretty good show!
This is not a show I watch on a regular basis, but I have now seen seven episodes. It's not something I'm personally interested in, but the plots are original and they do a good job with them. It's also got good comedy. As I support everything and I want everything to be a success even if I'm not a fan of something, I am glad people enjoy this show.
Now some things that I personally think this show is not perfect with, is that the art style is nothing beautiful in my opinion. They definitely could have done better with it, something about it looks weird to me. What I mostly notice about it that I'm not a fan of is that their noses are little pink circles which looks weird to me. And second, all the characters seem to heavily lack personality to me. Rosario and Yvette's characters sound very uninterested when talking and I don't know why that is. And Annie's friends all don't seem to have personalities of their own either.
Anyways, I'm very happy for Ant Blades and that his idea got pitched. I think everyone should definitely check out this show, even if it doesn't look interesting to you you should give it a chance. I wasn't a fan but maybe you will be.
The Casagrandes: Stress Test/How to Train Your Carl (2020)
Nico the Monkey
Nico the monkey in How To Train Your Carl is the reason to watch this episode. He is adorable. Seriously, check it out.
The Casagrandes (2019)
Incredible series, and stands out from The Loud House!
I literally love The Casagrandes and I am addicted to watching it. This show is full of comedy, heart, awareness, loveable characters and families, and more. It's writing is incredible and the character ages are spot on to their personalities. So many lines are written for Carl that are so realistic to stuff that I said when I was little.
Also, we have never seen a Latino family represented in cartoon like this. This series has the same cultural consultant as Coco, Lalo Alcaraz, and since that movie was a huge hit, you know from that that there won't be stereotypes. This show in addition to a Latino family, also has a kid with down-syndrome, which is perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of the show, and a ton of other characters and families of color. One of the first episodes of the show was literally about the down-syndrome kid, CJ, where they went to a pirate dinner show, where CJ wanted the opportunity to raise the flag, but a kid was giving him a hard time and he thought they had to let himself do it, which is an episode focusing around real world problems, which is incredible that they put that one out. It's not just a Hispanic show, the show features an entire community with different people of color. It's crew is also true to having Hispanic people writing and working on it, and I wouldn't know anything about Spanish culture and tradition without this show. I am an absolute fan of Spanish culture now.
This has now become my go to show and I am so addicted and happy when watching it. It definitely deserves way higher than a 6.5 in my opinion. The only thing I don't like, however, is Sergio, and some gross jokes, but that does not take away everything great from this series. I heavily recommend watching this show. Definitely give it a chance and I think it is great for the whole family.
It is so great to finally see representation in animation!
