Jujutsu Kaisen (2020)
A future masterpiece of shonen and anime in general
This tv series was what made me start enjoying anime again. I'm not a fan of anime but I really admire Japanese animation, and that this series together with Demon Slayer will be megaphenomena of anime of this current generation. I loved the story, the characters, the humor, the fight scenes, the animation, the world and lore. But what I really liked was that the author decided to characterize the world and the characters in a realistic way in which he makes the characters feel in real life, with references to movies, famous people, anime and video games from the real world. In the case of the protagonist, he has stated that he is a fan of Jennifer Lawrence, no anime did this, so I recommend them.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku (2021)
One of the best filler episode in anime overall.
For years, filler in anime tv series, as well as outside of anime, has been widely criticized for its unnecessary and boring plots, with a poor script and both a lack of narrative impact and character development. Naruto, especially Shippuden is the example, all his filler arcs did not concentrate due to his repetitive plots, characters for the most part not very charismatic, his humor, although he contributed something to the secondary characters to increase the emotional weight.
In My hero Academia most of the filler episodes used unnecessary and unfunny fan service with poorly written plots. With all that they are not going to create the best tv series in the world.
Instead this episode shows us how to make a filler chapter; an interesting plot, good character development and a good impact and narrative setting. The writers did very well, hopefully in the future of anime, especially Jujutsu Kaisen, it will have this level of writing in its possible filler episodes.
The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes (2021)
Finally The Dark Pictures Anthology manages to shine!
After two installments that did not convince, House of Ashes makes the anthology start to get interesting, since it makes its story, characters, location, script and gameplay the main component of its good opinions. What I liked is that this time the threat is real, and not "it's all in your head", and with this he even manages to pay tribute to Until Dawn. This will be for me and for all the first game in the series going forward. Surely thanks to all this you will be able to calmly enjoy the previous two with another opportunity, as here everything is real and the previous ones are not, it is not to complain. I already hope next year the fourth game "The Devil in Me" because it will be very brutal and bloody.
