The Professor (2018)
I think I understand Johnny Depp a little bit now
He's always been an incredible actor, but the way he comes across when he says certain things, I think he took some of his emotions from his recent experiences. I think the reason that he parties so hard and the reason he picked Amber were both for the same reason as his character -- he was taking as much as he felt that he could of life, the way he sees it. Personally, I hope he can calm down some so it won't affect his health, but if not, I think he'll be okay, because he's experienced so much in this life.
Please remember that this movie isn't so much about dying as it is embracing living.
Love on Safari (2018)
One of my favorite of Lacey's movies
Ok I do really like Any of the ones she travels with - my mother is from Rome, so can't help but love that one, but also where she learned to temper chocolate.
I felt they Did show her falling for him, just not in a sappy way. To me, they made it more realistic.
I was wondering if anybody noticed HOW she saved the reserve, though? I wish that was explained better. It's a non-profit that helps reserves? Is that correct?
King for a Day (1934)
So exciting to see this
We're truly missing out on the old talent of the Harlem Renaissance; thank goodness this is so available. It has a charm you won't find today. If you like this film, I implore you to seek out on YouTube "102 y/o sees herself on film for the first time." It will encourage you to look up everything you can get your hands on!
