"Don't watch it, Observe it"
I was not going to write a review of the movie but reading the negative views on this movie seemed surreal since one of the premises of the movie, one thing the satire was aimed might have completely flown past a large portion of the audience. This movie has several deeper meanings that might not be obvious at first glance, and that can not be explained without spoiling scenes in the movie, but I can say this much, I found it to be a satire of movie making and especially the over hype consumerism towards the superhero movies, where the magic of the movies is completely gone, not unlikely the passion of the chef. To take a more concrete example, The avatar way of the water, that tries to find the same utmost immaculateness perfection in animation, which results in a script that lacks any form of passion or joy. But the movie is still watched and hyped, kind of like the trust for the chef?
In its final scenes, the concept of the movie becomes clear, as the plot of the movie evolves into madness. But in its final moments, the absolute madness of an obsession that has resulted in a loss of passion and purpose meets the tranquillity of finding joy in one's passion again. But if you are going into the movies expecting a laid back easy-to-watch movie, this is not the movie to watch as it forces you to reflect to understand the satire, the satire towards the pressure to please in today's society which culminates in a lack of joy for one's passion or the satire towards the structure of today society.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Spoilers: Perplexing concept and story but dreadful ending
This is not a bad movie by any means, the concept of the movie is very interesting especially if you like dystopian themes. Does it have major plot holes, well yes, but to be fair most of the movies in the apocalyptic dystopian genre have plot holes the size of Europe. But for me the worst part of this movie is the end, up until the end it was a really good movie. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against movies where they kill of the main character or the hole cast for that matter. But it was they way the hole movie was building for that epic final just to have them try to blow our minds but failing and then killing the whole cast and doom humanity just seemed a little forced and anti-climatic.
Skylines (2020)
Not the worst but far from mediocre
A movie that is not terrible but it's not good. The worts part about is how predictable it is and how hard it tries to make cliches. It's just pathetic and annoying
