Gandeevadhari Arjuna (2023)
Film makers stole images & should be ashamed of themselves!
This film should be banned. The images of REAL children with certain diseases, such as harlequin ichthyosis, were used WITHOUT their knowledge and without their permission. The film makers prostituted these children's images for their own shock value and monetary gain. It is appalling, it is wrong, and they need to be held accountable. These children have diseases that they work hard to bring awareness to on a daily basis. Their images are used on other accounts calling them "monster babies" and saying they don't deserve to live. ALL human life is planned and precious. These film makers have undone all of this in about 30 seconds. They, too, are guilty of making these children out to be monsters, when they are just babies fighting for their lives. PLEASE BAN THIS MOVIE!!!
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
What did I just watch?!
Let's start with what this movie DOES NOT include;
- Tony Soprano as a main character
- An actual storyline
- The backstory on how Dickie Moltisanti became Tony's mentor
- The backstory on anything having to do with the main characters
- Mobsters
So what was this movie about?
- Racial tensions in the 60's and 70's?
- Ok, the city is on fire - we get it already
- Random characters that have nothing to do with any Sopranos characters
The best parts of the movie?
- Vera Farmiga's excellent portrayal of Livia Soprano
- Cory Stoll's almost eery time traveling BECOMING Uncle Junior. So good it was scary.
I planned my DAY around watching this. I can't believe it took them 2 years to do this and this is what they came up with.
The Little Things (2021)
Not psychological, not a thriller
Despite the eery and crazy amazing performance by Jared Leto and the usual outstanding acting by Denzel Washington and Rami Malek, the story goes nowhere. I kept waiting for the twist... the part where we go, "Wait, WHAT?!?!" None of those things happen. Instead we are left with no closure, no twist, not one time sitting on the edge of my seat.
