i was expecting something like the original starship troopers. boy was i wrong. i think whoever wrote this one might have passed by a theater once that played the original... but he sure didnt go inside. i will admit that it was something to watch that i hadnt seen before. i think most of the players did a fairly good job with what they had to work with but the limits of the script and the directing were just to much to over come. how did the new bugs get to where they could infect people? the bugs dont have ships... they dont fly (in space) and i counted at least 4 different bugs used to control people. why four? was one just not enough to hedge the effects bet? then you get the original bugs attacking... ok... it took 6 people firing full auto to kill them before... and now one man stands there and kills about 50 at fairly close range before they get him. i rate it a sunday morning when you have a hangover movie.

on the good side was some very well done graphics effects. the rest of the movie was a poor cousin to a jurassic park wanna be. the actors and actresses were ok within the limited script. but the story was a total failure. the high point being when the dragon survives a nuke and dies from a tiny air to air missile. hello is anybody in there???
