Baby Geniuses 2 - Worst. Movie. Ever.
Reviews
Mandingo (1975)
the movie is excellent and mind-opening. good acting. real.
I think this movie is not only entertaining but lends a look into the past present and future. those who have not seen it are missing a lot. It should be on DVD. why isn't it???? when you go to the large medium or small stores that sale or rent movies, ou see this large selection of movies to buy or rent. so many of them are unknown junk. somebody's making sure that they are available. It's ridiculous. However, try to find MANDINGO, no luck. I have it on video tape. I purchased it severa years ao. And I watch it now and then. I still enjoy seeing it because I constantly discovering thing in the movie that I didn't see previously. And that's fun! Someone with some power or authority should do something about that , and GET IT ON DVD...DVD...DVD !!!!!!
Stagecoach (1966)
this movie (VERSION) WAS NOT THAT BAD AT ALL.
I saw this version (1966) a few years ago and cannot find it available. I saw it on television. They continue to show the John Wayne version, which is good, but people want variety. Just because some people are so enthused with the Wayne , others should not be deprived of the 1966 movie. besides this version was in color. I owned a DVD of the Wayne version and at this point tired of it. The acting in my opinion is done very well and the characters they portray are very believable. I especially like Ann-Margret's character. and Slim pickens adds a bit of humor. The color and the western scenes are just beautiful. Let those of us who like the 1966 version have it, please. I cannot find it at Best Buy, Tower Records, or anywhere else. What's going on here? THAT'S ABOUT ALL that I have to say.
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (2004)
Not the perfect remake but very well done
I feel Silicon Knights really did a great job with remaking MGS. With Konami's help, they took the story and characters from MGS and added updated gameplay taken from MGS: Sons of Liberty, a new and epic soundtrack and a great graphical presentation. Also, with the help of Ryuhei Kitamura (one of Japan's most gifted directors) they've created some of the most impressive real-time cinematics in a video game ever. The most impressive involving a certain Cyborg Ninja.
The graphics are more on par with MGS2 and in some places even better. Some textures look a lot better while some look rather plain. As for character models, they all look great except for one or two, but even then they are still very decent. The voice actors who did the original are all back (and even a new one) and of excellent quality like every other MGS game. Although they changed some of the characters accents and changed one characters original va they did just as great a job as in the original. Liquid Snake sounds even better this time around. Anyways, if you like Action/Stealth games then this is exactly what you want. The original MGS single handedly created the Stealth genre and after playing The Twin Snakes, it's easy to see why they remade such a great game. With one of the best and most intriguing stories and some of the most memorable characters in a video game ever, it's very easy to recommend this game.
9/10
Blade: Trinity (2004)
TheProblem with Blade:Trinity
It's really sad that such a great series has gone out with, instead of a bang, a commercialized teeny-bop fizzle. Wrtiters =/= directors and Blade Trinity proves just this. The writer/director took away what made the first two movies so great. The movie has NO real character development, not enough "Blade", no real plot, and no real Super Villain ("Drake" aka Dracula was NO Deacon Frost).
What's worse is that they turned Blade into a corny one-line spitting one-dimensional character. You could tell that Wesley really didn't want to do this movie. He was rumored to be VERY upset with the direction and advertising of the movie and now I can see why. It seems like this was more of an introduction for a spin-off movie series for those lame-ass NightStalkers instead of a BLADE film. I paid 9 bucks to see Blade, Not some Gen X iPOD listening hip young techy vamp killers. What happened to trying to appeal to the ORIGINAL audience that loved the first two movies so much? Now, we get a movie geared towards 14 -18 yr olds who only care about mindless action, hot women and corny jokes. Out with the old and in with the new huh? I feel you Mr. Snipes. I'll end this with a few points that I really felt brought the movie down 1)Whistler is needlessly and randomly killed off like a character from a bad soap opera 2) Drake is in no way intimidating and looks out of place as Dracula (looked more like a Gladiator reject) 3) The vampire shop scene was more like a deleted scene from the eventual DD release 4) Triple-H does not, I repeat, DOES NOT belong in ANY Blade movies, and runs like an idiot.
5) Why are vampires so easy to kill now? and why do some of them look like high school drop out sk8rs? 6) Too many non developed points; Harvest station....why? Whistlers daughter...wha?? Blind lady can read computer models and complex DNA synthesis...how??? 7) Dracula, the King of all vampires, should NOT be running AWAY from Blade and stealing babies and then talking about honor. *note* In the chase scene he (or his stunt double) hilariously trips on one of the doors he breaks through 8) Blade spits out one too many stupid and corny one-liners, and curses way too much.
9) Product placement is horrible. Do these people think that we won't notice the shameless plugs of their products? or just don't care? Damn, I think I need to get an iPOD now....
and 10) Blade is NOT a comedy. Comedy is OK, but when it starts taking front seat to the action and horror/suspense in a BLADE movie then something has gone horribly wrong.
