Target (2004)

Target: dumpster
21 July 2004
I rented this film when my girlfriend was away, hoping to see some serious military/specialist action.

After 10 minutes of watching this "movie" I was so terrified and horrified and sick of the quality of everything in this film that I was ready to destroy the rented disc with a flame thrower. Luckily I couldn´t find one. I´ve seen many bad films. But this is not even bad, it is total garbage and it does not even deserve to be counted as a movie here on IMDB.

I feel sorry for the people who have been involved in the making of this total disgrace. Hope it wins some Oscars though :D.

An innocent chillout masterpiece
9 May 2002
Wonderful French film from the innocent era. Director Jacques Tati observed the world through childlike and a little bit sad eyes. There are similar themes on criticizing the modern technology that in the film Playtime. Show this to your kids a few times and they will be so much more smarter.

What a shame they don´t make this type of films anymore.Good for Sunday chillout sessions.

A film about
8 May 2002
Another typical finnish comedy. The original book is hilarious but the film fails to be so. There are only a few funny moments. Tired acting, tired cutting, tired scriptwriting. Typical, monotonous finnish comedy. The only positive thing about this film is the way it tries to make people laugh about something as serious as suicide. You know in Finland they kill themselves a lot! Poor comedies, high suicide numbers.

Give some Oscars to this one!
1 October 1999
This must be the greatest film made in Finland. I´m not a big fan of war films, but I have to say I´m a HUGE fan of this film...I´ve seen it three times now and it really gets better every time. If this film doesn´t move you, what does? Superb music! Breathtaking scenes.

Classic crime!
1 October 1999
Absolutely one of the best black & white films made in Finland, but for sure the best Mika Waltari novel that has been filmed into a motion picture. Even beats The Egyptian(Sinuhe)(laugh). Murderer makes always one mistake and you make a mistake too if you don´t watch this one. Film includes old Helsinki scenes and fabulous actors, very scary + jazzy music score.

And hey, did you know that loads of hilarious amateur film versions have been made of "Komisario Palmu", inspired by this classic Finnish crime film. Perfect.
