Fatal Kiss (2002 TV Movie)

A delightful surprise
25 October 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this one on cable TV. It was a short film filling in time between other movies. Normally that is a bad sign, but there was nothing else on at the moment so I gave it a try.

I expected it to be the usual cliché-ridden late night cable fluff that seems to proliferate through the airwaves, but this one was surprisingly different.

It had quite a bit of clever humor and some very interesting twists, but I can't say more on that without giving 'spoilers'.

It reminds me of a lighthearted version of the old 'Tales from the Crypt' TV series, and I look forward to seeing it again.

It is short – roughly a half-hour or so, and it is definitely worth taking the time to watch it if you get the chance.

Little Lindsey should have won an Oscar for this role...

The 1998 remake of The Parent Trap is a delightful joy to watch from beginning to end. The entire cast of characters delivers a top-notch performance, proving that some remakes can and do exceed the original.

Despite the abundant wealth of talent in this cast, it is newcomer Lindsey Lohan who clearly steals the show. Her timing and delivery is perfect, her poise is graceful-yet-impudent, and her expressions are priceless. She is definitely an up-and-coming young talent to watch out for!

A quirky little film.
24 June 1999
I saw this film as a kid on the Saturday afternoon "Monster Theater". I've seen it a few more times since then, and I still get a kick out of it.

Basically, an alien ship crashes (of course) on its way to some intergalactic zoo. Three very dangerous aliens escape the wreck and go back to their normal predatory behavior patterns. It's up to the Earthlings to stop them...

This film was pretty creative for its time, and the methods used to "deal" with the aliens showed some logical and innovative thought on the writer's part.

It probably will never be listed in the top ten films of all time, but it's a fun romp when you're in the mood for cheesy movies. Give it a chance.
