Shades of Love: The Rose Cafe (1987)
endearing love story of two highschool classmates who meet later in life.
The Rose Cafe is an endearing love story with Linda Smith and Parker Stevenson doing a super job of two highschool classmates who meet later in life and find there is still 'magic' between them. Although Linda's character is making her dream (being a chef in her own restaurant) come true, her fiancee is not supportive. Her old friend is encouraging and after a set-back the Rose Cafe is successful.
Shades of Love: Champagne for Two (1987)
They meet dramatically and learn how their differences can effect their relationship.
Shades of Love: Champagne for Two is a light, entertaining love story with an interesting plot surprise (near the) beginning. The issue of different career interests and scheduling is the focus of this story with it ending that they are able to accept their differences without asking one another for drastic changes.
Ladyhawke (1985)
A wonderful, romantic fantasy in a classic good vs evil story.
Ladyhawke was a surprising, romantic, adventurous fantasy with Navarre and Isabeau caught in a unique trance which prevented them from seeing one another. With the addition of Phillip into their lives, they were able to establish limited communications. This is a classic good vs evil story and the beautiful steed of Navarre's (Goliath) is so impressive.
Shades of Love: The Garnet Princess (1987)
Enjoyable, fantasy romance, dignified but personable.
Garnet princess was an enjoyable story to watch. All of the scenes were depicted in a dignified manner and yet very personable, not at all stuffy. A fantasy romance that was delightful and very entertaining. I thought the actors were believable, directing good, scenery beautiful, and most of the sound was good.
A Secret Affair (1999)
Given the opportunity, I will watch this movie dozens of times.
I found this to be a beautiful story about relationships. I thought there was wonderful acting, photography and directing and a moving love story. It was great to see the relationships develop and deepen. There seemed to be a thread of being true to oneself through it all.
