It just keeps getting better!

Warning: Spoilers
Thor episode was done so well, we see more development in our characters. We also see Icicle, the leader of Injustice Society. We still don't know what project new America is yet. But we know the villains feel what they're doing is right. Icicle is also a great villain. Just one episode showed how far he'll go. Killing a child and a member of the injustice society. It was also great to see the Justice Society's headquarters. We saw Jay Garrick and Dr Fates helmets. We also saw the masks of all our heroes. The ending with Star girl taking all of the hero's weapons and costumes gets me very excited. Obviously we know Dr mid night, wild cat and owl man are coming to the show. But we're still getting hints that other mantles of heroes could be taken. As Star girl took everything. Maybe next season we see another Fate or GL. So excited for what this show has to offer. Just an amazing episode.

This show really keeps surprising me
aarongnr2 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I wasn't really expecting much from this show, just more of the same superhero stuff we also have in The Flash and Supergirl, and it does have that, but it also has something I didn't expect: Quite a few surprising deaths so far... And I like it, alot.

I thought this would be super light-hearted, noone would die, but nope.

And the writing is very solid, not many cringy lines in the first few episodes.

The choreography with the staff is the weakest part for me so far, cause that always looks kinda rodiculous, like you know that every one of those stunts is done on wires and it just looks weird and too over the top.

Anyway, I'll definitely continue this, pretty good.

The fantastic writing continues, a focus on world building and character development
Holt3442 June 2020
The story of Courtney Whitmore, Stargirl continues and the story gets deeper, we get to know more about the heroes and the villains. The villains are as interesting as they feel so human, now of course, they're evil but there's a grey layer to them. There's some really good world building in this episode, new sets and locations. Justice Society of America and its evil counterpart are super interesting to follow and as important to the story as the good faction.

This episode gave us a flashback for Icicle and as the episode went on we really got to learn who he really is and I like him as a character and villain, Neil Jackson did some great acting for the role and I'm excited to see what he brings to the ice cold villian.

There were some great story telling in this episode, Geoff Johns is a great writer and how he have managed to make the show into two tones is just fantastic work. So there's the darker and lighter side and he managed to merge them fine. The episode was also nicely directed. Next week will introduce us to more heroes, soon a Justice Society of America resurrection? Trailer says so and I'm hyped!

Time to Assemble the Team!

Warning: Spoilers
Wow! Once again, this show blows me away with fantastic action, great acting, and awesome special effects. I felt a slight bit of emotion when Joey was hit. However, I am excited for next week's episode, because at the end of this week's, Courtney goes to the JSA's old lair, and takes some old and powerful artifacts that belonged to the fallen heroes. "Time to start recruiting." Courtney says. Overall, amazing episode!

Absolutely no punches pulled!
KookShanty4 June 2020
This episode strikes a deep emotional cord as some stuff goes down that is brutal, and only in the third episode! Icicle is introduced as an exciting villain, and The Wizard is a lot of fun. This episode does keep the problem of the previous two where it slows down in the school segments, and follows unrealistic and frustrating high school movie tropes.

Finding it's groove
hnt_dnl3 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was better than the second one for me. This one has a better balance between Courtney-Pat and the supporting characters. I really liked the Pat-Mike interactions (honestly, these are always hilarious) and also Courtney standing up for Yolanda and continuing to assert herself. On the one hand, her tough personality can be annoying when it comes to defying Pat, but on the other, it's really welcome when it comes to dealing with the school bullies. As the season progresses, I hope the "losers" give the bullies their comeuppance. The Icicle-Wizard subplot was engrossing with a shocking climax that blew me away. Stargirl so far is proving to be an entertaining, refreshing, viable and well-presented superhero series.

Just as good as the last two

The only con about this episode is that it's a little slow at first! It makes up for it in the last 15 minutes! Overall 9.5/10

Nice episode
notar0b0t4 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Very nice episode. Much to my surprise, after last week's episode. I guess the only negative thing I could say is... Mike, the little brother, is still annoying me and is rude to his father, but that's a tiny part of the story. I think Cameron will become a favorite of mine: intricate plot: son of a villain, but a good person, potential love interest to Courtney. I'm excited. Short review this week, not much to say!

DAMN! That's impressive Norwegian
Belforhir13 July 2020
I've never heard a non native speaker (especially in acting) pronounce Norwegian that well. the writers biffed the natural grammar and flow a bit though (sønnen min instead of min sønn... or son mine instead of my son, but wow. GOOD job!)

Of course the son follows up later in the episode with ABSOLUTE gibberish and the mom with what sounds like more Danish, but grandpa Jim France absolutely nails it.

Also I continiue to love the work of Luke Wilson. If you haven't seen idiocracy, then now's the time. It feels VERY relevant!

Just one mess-up
wplemmondrd16 June 2020
Icicle's civilian ID was actually on-board with saving the theater, so he would have been at their first meeting, at 6:30, instead of super villain things. He could have done that later, and it would have been easy. I've seen the new technology available that allows post-production to change the lighting to night time.

And they have a lot of explaining to do, because Icicle is deciding a lot of people who don't really stand in his way ... actually are. I love that he's done such a good job raising his son. It keeps the teasers about probable fascism from being to broad and heavy. This is a great way to get people, especially young people, to pay attention.

I just hope they can follow up, and spent the money for good advisers on political movements, economic movements, cognitive dissonance, and sociopathy.

Warning: Spoilers
A great episode teasing all the old & new members of the JSA similar to the greatest episode of smallville did.

Also just to pop out this isn't a CW show it's a DC universe show that airs on the cw afterwards

teen dramady garbage with disjointed action scenes
gareth-754423 June 2020
Yet more woke garbage from an awful DC comics writer, the only thing good about this series is Luke Wilson, this series could actually be good if it wasn't for the awful writing, action sequences are rushed & disjointed, with Stargirl one second the staff acts like it's part of her, drawn to her like a magnet then in another scene its led on the ground inches from her hand & does nothing until the very last second before the bad guy gives the "kills shot" it then springs into life & protects her,yet in earlier scenes all she has to do is hold her hand out & the staff flys to her from any distance, this is garbage comic book writing the same garbage writing across all the DC shows, simply done for dramatic effect because the writer/writers lack the imagination to create well thought out decent action scenes, relying simply on flashy cgi to appease the viewer, the "Bridge" scene is another example of a poorly thought out action sequence, Stargirl & Stripe stand idly by watching the whole scene unfold yet do nothing to save the student from being hit by a conveniently speeding truck, yet seconds before Stripe covers the distance from the shore to the bridge in seconds & saves the bus from falling from the bridge, this show will mimick every other DC show, a 44 minute teen dramady with 4 minutes of superhero action slotted in, poor very poor. I give this a 5 simply for its production value & camerawork but this ISN'T a superhero action show, this is 1 step above a Disney+ children's show at best.
