Good new show

If you like medium and Ghost Whisperer this is show is a nice combination of both. The medium in this case grew up with the law enforcment officer so there is no bias against her which is a refreshing change of events. The background story that continues from episode to episode is building up nicely.

I am also glad that the gay couple is accepted without any negative thoughts.

The procedural aspect is almost weighing down the show.

While the generic police procedural of there being a case in each episode which Cassie helps solve with her abilities, or rather they end up needing her help to solve it, is actually enjoyable to watch, I'm much more interested in what seems to be developing an exploration into her powers and what exactly she's capable of as well as what the "in-between" is. I hope that starts to become more of the main focus of the show rather than there being a case each episode that she helps to solve.

Bland propaganda for psychics.

Now I love a bit of escapist nonsense, especially when it has a supernatural twist. It is important though the tone something like this strikes. Every now and then something like this show pops up and within the writing you can tell there is a definite agenda to convince the viewer they should take real life psychic phenomenon and the supernatural seriously. While watching this I started to feel preached at as if psychics were real and that ridiculing them is some sort of prejudice. This could have been a fun bit of escapism, instead it seems to lecture us all about the poor misunderstood mediums out there. Hard pass.

Justified? Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers: A man's family are killed by a hit and run driver. Thin incompetent police never find the killer. The man is able to track them down 4 years later and tries to take his vengeance out on that family's wife and son. BTW, when the police investigated the first crime, the mother lied to the police about her car being stolen and used for the crime. In the end, the mother and son survive, the hit and run driver goes to jail for about 10 years (per the police) and the guy who lost everything is in jail for attempted murder. Result, the two cops investigating the kidnapping and attempted murders are happy. What a crock!
